List of All the Rides at EPCOT + What to Ride First

If you’re looking for a complete list of all the rides at EPCOT, this guide breaks down every ride in the park, what to ride first, height requirements, and which attractions are worth prioritizing. EPCOT has fewer traditional rides than Magic Kingdom, but the headliners are spread out across a very large park, so having a smart ride plan matters.

I’ve visited EPCOT more times than I can count, and even after all those trips, I still get a little thrill walking through the gates and seeing Spaceship Earth ahead. EPCOT is different from the other Disney World parks. It is not just a ride park. It mixes rides, shows, food, festivals, culture, and slower experiences in a way that can be amazing if you plan it well.

The tricky part is that EPCOT can feel deceptively easy on paper. The ride list is not huge, but the walking distance is real. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Soarin’ Around the World, and Spaceship Earth are not all clustered together, so zig-zagging across the park can wear you out fast.

If you want the broader park overview, start with my full EPCOT guide. If you want the opinion-based ranking after this list, read my guide to the best rides at EPCOT.

Quick List of All the Rides at EPCOT

Here is the quick list of all the rides at EPCOT. I’m separating actual rides from shows, films, walk-through attractions, and festival experiences because many EPCOT guides mix them together.

So if you are counting true rides, EPCOT has 11 main rides. Some lists count walk-through attractions like Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, which is why you may see a different number elsewhere. I would treat Journey of Water as an attraction, not a ride.

If you want the larger “everything to do” version, my guide to what there is to do at EPCOT covers rides, countries, shows, festivals, food, and slower experiences.

What to Ride First at EPCOT

If you are trying to make the most of your morning, I would usually prioritize EPCOT rides in this order:

  1. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind if it is your top thrill priority and you have a valid way to access it.
  2. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure if you enter from International Gateway or are starting near France.
  3. Frozen Ever After if you are starting in World Showcase or traveling with Frozen fans.
  4. Test Track if it is running well and your group wants the high-speed ride.
  5. Soarin’ Around the World before the Land Pavilion gets busier.
  6. Spaceship Earth when the line is low, often later than park opening.

The best first ride depends heavily on where you enter. If you enter from the front of EPCOT, Test Track, Guardians, Soarin’, and Spaceship Earth are more natural early targets. If you enter from International Gateway near the EPCOT resort area, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure becomes much easier to prioritize first.

If your goal is efficiency, read my EPCOT rope drop and early entry strategy and my EPCOT Lightning Lane strategy. EPCOT rewards a thoughtful plan because the rides are spread out.

List of All the Rides at EPCOT by Area

EPCOT is easier to understand when you group the rides by area. The park is now divided into World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase.

World Discovery Rides

World Discovery is where you’ll find EPCOT’s most intense rides. This area has Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, and Mission: SPACE.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is EPCOT’s biggest thrill ride and one of the most unique coasters at Walt Disney World. The ride vehicle rotates as you move through the track, which makes the experience feel more fluid and disorienting than a normal roller coaster.

I love the ride, but I would not recommend treating it casually if you are prone to motion sickness. The spinning, screens, backward launch, and music make it fun, but they can also make some guests feel off afterward.

If Guardians is your top priority, check the current access method in the My Disney Experience app before your visit. Depending on the day and current Disney system, you may need to plan around Lightning Lane, standby availability, or other access rules. For more help, read my EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy guide and my post on the songs on the Guardians ride.

Test Track

Test Track

Test Track is EPCOT’s high-speed car ride and one of the park’s most important thrill attractions. The updated version still builds toward the outdoor speed section, which is the part most people remember.

The height requirement is 40 inches. I would prioritize it early if your group cares about thrill rides, but I always keep an eye on weather because Test Track can be more vulnerable to downtime than indoor attractions.

If you are deciding whether it belongs near the top of your day, read my full EPCOT Test Track guide.

Mission: SPACE

Mission Space at EPCOT

Mission: SPACE is one of the most divisive rides at EPCOT. The Orange Mission is much more intense, while the Green Mission is the gentler version. Even then, I do not think this is a ride everyone should force themselves to do.

I rode the more intense version once and regretted it for the rest of the afternoon. If you are sensitive to enclosed spaces, spinning, pressure, or motion sickness, be careful. I would only prioritize this if your group is specifically interested in space simulators.

For more details, read my EPCOT Mission: SPACE guide.

World Celebration Rides

World Celebration is where you’ll find Spaceship Earth and Journey Into Imagination with Figment. These are not EPCOT’s biggest thrill rides, but they help define the park’s classic personality.

Spaceship Earth

Spaceship Earth is the slow-moving dark ride inside the EPCOT ball. It takes you through the history of communication, and even though parts of it feel old-fashioned, I still consider it a classic EPCOT must-do.

I usually do not rush to ride it right at park opening because the line can be weirdly busy when everyone walks in and sees it first. I like saving it for later in the morning or afternoon when I need a cool, calm break.

If you want to understand the icon itself, read my guide to what is inside the EPCOT ball.

Journey Into Imagination with Figment

Journey Into Imagination with Figment is a short, low-intensity ride with no height requirement. I want to enjoy it more than I usually do. It has nostalgia and Figment charm, but it can feel dated and chaotic compared with EPCOT’s stronger rides.

I would ride it if the wait is short, if you have kids who want something easy, or if you are a Figment fan. I would not make it a major priority on a first EPCOT visit.

If you are deciding whether to include it, read my EPCOT Journey Into Imagination guide.

World Celebration is also where you’ll find CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT. It is not a ride, but it can be useful for seasonal offerings, character moments, festival programming, and indoor breaks.

World Nature Rides

World Nature is one of my favorite areas for a mid-day reset because it has Soarin’, Living with the Land, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and Journey of Water nearby.

Soarin’ Around the World

Soarin’ Around the World

Soarin’ Around the World is a gentle flight simulator that lifts you in front of a huge screen and takes you over famous landscapes and landmarks. The motion is smooth, the music is strong, and the scent effects are part of the charm.

The height requirement is 40 inches. I like requesting the middle section if possible because the distortion can be more noticeable from the sides. It is not EPCOT’s most intense ride, but it is one of the easiest to recommend to a wide range of visitors.

Living with the Land

Living With The Land Boat Ride

Living with the Land is one of the most EPCOT rides in the entire park. It is calm, educational, and genuinely interesting if you enjoy greenhouses, food systems, sustainability, or behind-the-scenes Disney details.

I ride this almost every visit. It is not thrilling, but that is the point. I like saving it for the afternoon when I want to sit down, cool off, and slow the day down without leaving the park.

For more detail, read my full guide to EPCOT Living with the Land.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends

The Seas with Nemo and Friends

The Seas with Nemo & Friends is a gentle ride with no height requirement. The ride itself is simple, but the aquarium afterward makes this area more useful than the ride alone.

I would include this for toddlers, younger kids, or anyone who likes marine life. If you are short on time and not interested in the ride, you can still spend time around the aquarium area and exhibits.

Nearby, Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is worth adding if your group likes interactive walk-through attractions. It is not a ride, but it fits naturally into this part of the park.

World Showcase Rides

World Showcase is mostly known for countries, food, drinks, shows, and atmosphere, but it also has three actual rides: Frozen Ever After, Gran Fiesta Tour, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

If you are planning the full loop, my guide to the EPCOT countries and EPCOT World Showcase will help you understand how this area fits into the day.

Frozen Ever After

Frozen Ever After is a boat ride in the Norway Pavilion with no height requirement. It has strong animatronics, familiar music, and a small backward section that surprises some first-time riders.

Even if you are not a huge Frozen fan, I think it is one of EPCOT’s better family rides. The line can move slowly and build quickly, so I would either ride it early, use Lightning Lane when it makes sense, or catch it when the wait drops.

If you are pairing it with characters, my guide to dinner with princesses at EPCOT may help you plan around Norway.

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros

Gran Fiesta Tour

Gran Fiesta Tour is the quiet boat ride inside the Mexico Pavilion. I do not always plan around it, but I almost always end up riding it because it is charming, air-conditioned, and usually easier to fit in than the bigger headliners.

This is not a must-do for thrill seekers, but it is one of the best low-stress rides at EPCOT. It pairs perfectly with exploring the Mexico Pavilion or eating nearby. If Mexico is part of your food plan, check my guide to the EPCOT Mexican restaurant.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a trackless family ride in the France Pavilion with no height requirement. You shrink down to Remy’s size and move through a mix of physical sets, screens, motion, and kitchen chaos.

I think this is one of the best family rides at EPCOT, especially if you are entering from International Gateway. The main drawback is that the wait can get long, so it is a smart ride to plan around instead of leaving it to chance.

For a deeper strategy, read my guide on how to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

EPCOT Ride Height Requirements

Most EPCOT rides are available to all heights, but the thrill rides have important height requirements.

RideHeight Requirement
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind42 inches
Test Track40 inches
Mission: SPACE40 inches
Soarin’ Around the World40 inches
Spaceship EarthAny height
Journey Into Imagination with FigmentAny height
Living with the LandAny height
The Seas with Nemo & FriendsAny height
Frozen Ever AfterAny height

If you are visiting with toddlers or younger kids, my EPCOT for toddlers guide will be more useful than a thrill-focused ride ranking.

Best EPCOT Rides by Visitor Type

Here is how I would narrow down the list of all the rides at EPCOT depending on your group.

Visitor TypeBest EPCOT Rides
First-time visitorsGuardians of the Galaxy, Test Track, Soarin’, Spaceship Earth, Remy’s, Frozen Ever After
Thrill seekersGuardians of the Galaxy, Test Track, Mission: SPACE, Soarin’
Families with small kidsFrozen Ever After, Remy’s, The Seas with Nemo, Gran Fiesta Tour, Living with the Land
AdultsGuardians, Test Track, Soarin’, Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Gran Fiesta Tour
Motion-sensitive guestsSpaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Gran Fiesta Tour, The Seas with Nemo
Half-day visitorsGuardians or Test Track, Soarin’, Spaceship Earth, one World Showcase ride

If you are visiting without kids, my EPCOT itinerary for adults and EPCOT vs. Magic Kingdom for adults guides may help you decide how ride-heavy your day should be.

EPCOT Attractions That Are Not Rides But Still Worth Doing

EPCOT has several attractions that are not rides but still belong in the conversation. If you only chase the ride list, you miss a lot of what makes EPCOT work.

  • Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana: Interactive walk-through attraction in World Nature.
  • CommuniCore Hall: Seasonal programming, festival offerings, characters, and indoor breaks.
  • The American Adventure: Classic World Showcase theater show.
  • Impressions de France / Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along: Film-based experiences in France.
  • Canada Far and Wide: Film attraction in the Canada Pavilion when available.
  • World Showcase entertainment: Live performers, music, characters, and festival entertainment.

If you want the broader list beyond rides, use my best EPCOT attractions guide. If your trip overlaps with a festival, check the EPCOT festival calendar, EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and EPCOT Festival of the Arts.

My EPCOT Ride Strategy

If I were planning a ride-focused EPCOT day, I would not simply start at the front and work clockwise. I would plan around the hardest rides first, then let the park slow down later.

A strong EPCOT ride plan might look like this:

  1. Start with Guardians, Test Track, Remy’s, or Frozen depending on your entrance point and Lightning Lane setup.
  2. Use the morning for the rides with the longest waits.
  3. Save Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Gran Fiesta Tour, and The Seas with Nemo for lower-energy parts of the day.
  4. Plan food around your walking route instead of crossing the park just for one meal.
  5. Use World Showcase as a slower second half of the day unless you are prioritizing Remy or Frozen early.

EPCOT can be deceptively tiring because of the walking. If you are not careful, you can spend more energy crossing the park than actually enjoying it. My how many miles is EPCOT guide explains why the park can feel so big by the end of the day.

For full-day planning, compare my one-day EPCOT itinerary, half-day EPCOT itinerary, and EPCOT itinerary without Genie+. If you use paid line-skipping, check my EPCOT itinerary with Genie+, but remember that Disney’s current system is now Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass.

Planning the Rest of Your EPCOT Day

Rides are only one part of EPCOT. Food, festivals, countries, shows, and nighttime atmosphere are a big part of why people love the park.

If food is part of your plan, read my list of all the restaurants at EPCOT, best restaurants at EPCOT, best quick service restaurants in EPCOT, breakfast in EPCOT, and EPCOT brunch.

If logistics are still fuzzy, check what time EPCOT opens, EPCOT hours, EPCOT admission prices, parking for EPCOT, EPCOT bag policy, and the best day to visit EPCOT.

For current ride availability, closures, and schedule changes, check the official EPCOT page and my EPCOT ride closures guide before your trip. For current paid line-skipping details, use Disney’s official Lightning Lane passes page.

Final Thoughts on the List of All the Rides at EPCOT

The list of all the rides at EPCOT is not massive, but it is more strategic than it looks. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, and Soarin’ Around the World are the rides I would think about first. Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Gran Fiesta Tour, The Seas with Nemo, Journey Into Imagination, and Mission: SPACE depend more on your group and energy level.

My personal EPCOT rhythm is simple: get the biggest ride priorities done early, use calmer rides when the park gets hot or crowded, and leave enough time for World Showcase. EPCOT is much better when you stop treating it like a checklist and let the park breathe a little.

If you are still deciding whether EPCOT belongs in your trip, read is EPCOT worth it or compare EPCOT vs. Animal Kingdom.
