All 11 Countries in EPCOT World Showcase (Dining, Food, and Hours)

If you’re planning a trip to EPCOT and wondering how to make the most of your day, especially when it comes to dining and exploring the international pavilions, the EPCOT World Showcase is a must-do. I’ve wandered this loop more times than I can count, and every time, I find something new to taste, experience, or just enjoy slowly with a drink in hand.

While EPCOT has changed a lot over the years, the World Showcase remains one of the park’s most immersive experiences. It’s a walkable loop of 11 country-themed pavilions, each offering cultural architecture, entertainment, shopping, and—most importantly—some of the best food and drinks in any Disney park.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing sit-down meal, a snack-and-stroll situation, or just want to know what time everything opens, this guide is for you.

For a bigger overview of the park itself, check out our full EPCOT guide.

Key Points

  • Most World Showcase food locations open at 11 AM, even if the front of the park opens earlier. Plan accordingly if you’re doing rope drop at EPCOT.
  • Don’t rush the loop—some of the best experiences come from lingering. Grab a drink in France, catch a show in Canada, or try the hidden tequila bar in Mexico.
  • Make dining reservations early for popular table-service spots like Le Cellier (Canada) or Via Napoli (Italy). Or check this list of all EPCOT restaurants to compare options.

EPCOT World Showcase: Countries, Dining, and Hours

The World Showcase includes 11 countries, arranged around a beautiful lagoon. Each pavilion is staffed by cultural representatives (when available), making it feel more authentic than just a themed area.

Here’s a breakdown of each country, what food and drinks to try, and when they’re open.

Mexico Pavilion

I always recommend starting your loop in Mexico—it’s indoors, air-conditioned, and sets the mood with its dreamy nighttime ambiance. The dimly lit marketplace inside the pyramid feels like a cozy escape from the Florida sun. It’s a great spot to grab your first drink and ease into the day. and you’ll find yourself in a romantic, twilight-lit indoor market scene.

The Mexico pavilion is vibrant, festive, and filled with color. You’ll hear mariachi music, see hand-painted pottery, and smell fresh tortillas.

  • Dining: San Angel Inn (table service inside a temple), La Hacienda (waterfront dining), La Cantina (quick service tacos), La Cava del Tequila (cozy tequila bar).
  • Food Tip: Don’t skip the queso and margaritas at La Cava.
  • Hours: Food locations open at 11 AM.

Norway Pavilion

This is a great spot if you’re traveling with Frozen fans—it’s home to the Frozen Ever After ride and often has princess meet-and-greets. Even if you’re not into the ride, Norway has a calm, coastal feel and is one of my go-to spots for a quick breakfast if I’m skipping the early front-of-park rush.

  • Dining: Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (character dining with princesses), Kringla Bakeri og Kafe (great pastries).
  • Food Tip: The School Bread is a cult favorite.
  • Hours: Most open at 11 AM, but Akershus may open earlier for breakfast.

China Pavilion

I usually take my time in China—it’s one of the most beautiful pavilions with tranquil gardens and a peaceful atmosphere. If you’re feeling rushed, slow down here and enjoy the live entertainment or the Circle-Vision film. It’s also one of the easiest places to grab a quick lunch without a long line.

  • Dining: Nine Dragons Restaurant (sit-down), Lotus Blossom Café (quick service).
  • Food Tip: Try the potstickers and bubble tea.
  • Hours: Open from 11 AM.

Germany Pavilion

Germany is perfect for snacking and sipping. I always stop here for a pretzel and beer combo—it’s satisfying and gives you the energy to keep going. The model train outside is surprisingly detailed and fun to watch while you eat. It’s also a great pavilion for festival booths during special events.

  • Dining: Biergarten Restaurant (buffet with live music), Sommerfest (brats and pretzels).
  • Food Tip: Pretzels and beer are the move.
  • Hours: Food starts at 11 AM.

Italy Pavilion

Italy is one of my favorite places to just sit for a while. There’s often live music or performers, and the square feels lively without being chaotic. If you can snag a patio table at Via Napoli, it’s a fantastic lunch spot. Their pizza is one of the best values for quality in EPCOT.

  • Dining: Via Napoli (wood-fired pizza), Tutto Italia, and Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar.
  • Food Tip: Via Napoli’s pizza is easily top 5 in EPCOT.
  • Hours: 11 AM onward.

The American Adventure

This one often gets skipped, but I always stop here—mainly for the Regal Eagle BBQ and the chance to sit down and cool off. The show inside is great if you want some air conditioning and a surprisingly moving history lesson. During festivals, this area often has some of the best live music.

  • Dining: Regal Eagle Smokehouse (BBQ), Funnel Cake stand.
  • Food Tip: Grab a Sampler Platter and some seasonal festival treats.
  • Hours: 11 AM for food.

Japan Pavilion

Japan always feels peaceful and balanced. I love walking up the stairs to Katsura Grill—it’s tucked away and rarely crowded, which makes it a great hidden gem for lunch. If you’re into shopping, give yourself extra time here. The Mitsukoshi department store is huge and filled with unique finds.

  • Dining: Teppan Edo (hibachi), Tokyo Dining, Katsura Grill (quick service), and the new Shiki-Sai.
  • Food Tip: Sushi fans should go for Katsura or Tokyo Dining.
  • Hours: Starts at 11 AM.

Morocco Pavilion

This pavilion always surprises people—it’s full of quiet corners and detailed art. I love escaping the crowds by wandering into the back alleys, especially when I need a break. Spice Road Table is a beautiful place to catch the sunset over the lagoon if you can time it right.

  • Dining: Spice Road Table (Mediterranean small plates), Tangierine Café (quick service, open seasonally).
  • Food Tip: The mint tea is refreshing on a hot day.
  • Hours: Seasonal hours for Tangierine Café.

France Pavilion

France is one of the best places to start your food crawl or grab an early snack. Les Halles opens earlier than most World Showcase spots, which is perfect if you’re hungry before 11. I love strolling through this pavilion with a pastry in hand—bonus points if you catch one of the street performers.

  • Dining: Chefs de France, Les Halles Boulangerie, and La Crêperie de Paris.
  • Food Tip: Les Halles is amazing for pastries and a quick lunch.
  • Hours: Les Halles sometimes opens earlier than the rest—around 9 AM.

United Kingdom Pavilion

This is where I usually end my loop—there’s something cozy about the pub vibe here, especially as the sun sets. Grab a pint, find a bench near the garden, and soak up the atmosphere. It’s also a good spot to listen to live music in the evening.

  • Dining: Rose & Crown Pub, Yorkshire County Fish Shop.
  • Food Tip: Fish and chips with a pint, classic.
  • Hours: Open from 11 AM.

Canada Pavilion

Canada often gets overlooked, but it’s absolutely worth a stop. I love exploring the waterfall area, and the Circle-Vision film is a good excuse to sit down for a bit. If you’re doing a special meal, Le Cellier is a splurge, but the food is excellent—especially the filet and cheddar soup.

  • Dining: Le Cellier Steakhouse.
  • Food Tip: Signature filet mignon and cheddar soup are the go-tos.
  • Hours: Reservation-based, typically starts around 11:30 AM.

Tips for Dining Around the World

You don’t need to eat at every pavilion (unless you’re doing a food crawl, which can be fun), but having a loose strategy can really help you enjoy the day without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

I usually recommend choosing a few countries to prioritize based on what kind of food or experience you’re in the mood for.

Love sushi? Head straight to Japan.

Want to sip margaritas in the shade? Mexico has you covered.

If you’re doing EPCOT in one day, you might want to mix one table-service meal with some smaller quick-service snacks along the way.

Festival booths (when available) are also a fantastic way to try little bites from multiple countries without committing to one big meal.

For sit-down meals, I always try to book reservations well in advance—but I’ve also lucked out by checking the My Disney Experience app for last-minute cancellations.

If you’re arriving early for rope drop, note that most World Showcase dining doesn’t open until 11 AM. In that case, start your day in the front of the park (maybe ride Soarin’ or Guardians of the Galaxy), then ease your way into the Showcase around lunch.
