These days still have the festival atmosphere, but without the shoulder-to-shoulder crowding of weekends. Rope Drop Is Your Friend

If you’re wondering what day to absolutely avoid EPCOT, I’ve got one clear answer based on every visit I’ve taken: Saturday. Without question, Saturday is the worst day to visit EPCOT—especially if there’s a festival happening. The crowds are thick, the lines are long, and the vibe shifts from relaxed and exploratory to loud and hectic.

On one of my Saturday visits during the Food & Wine Festival, I barely made it through two food booths in an hour. Every line was at least 30 minutes, and I spent more time dodging shoulder-to-shoulder crowds in the World Showcase than actually enjoying the atmosphere. Even getting from one side of the park to the other took twice as long.

Locals love to come on Saturdays, especially in the afternoon and evening. Add in tourists who think Saturday is a good park day, and you’ve got a packed house.
