Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is directly in front of Tokyo Disneyland at 29-1 Maihama, Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It is outside the theme park gates, with Tokyo Disneyland Station on the Disney Resort Line positioned between the hotel and the park.
Tokyo Disney Resort describes it as the closest hotel to the Tokyo Disneyland entrance, with the park entrance about a one-minute walk away. If you’re arriving by JR train, Maihama Station is about an eight-minute walk from the hotel.

If I’m entering the hotel into a map, taxi app, or navigation system, I would use that address rather than simply searching for “Disneyland Hotel,” since Disney has hotels with similar names in several countries.
The hotel is in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, not Tokyo Metropolis itself. That is the same general Tokyo Disney Resort area as Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

The Hotel Is Directly in Front of Tokyo Disneyland
Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is not hidden somewhere else in the resort complex. It faces Tokyo Disneyland across the entrance area.
The basic layout is:
- Tokyo Disneyland Hotel
- Tokyo Disneyland Station on the Disney Resort Line
- Tokyo Disneyland entrance
Tokyo Disney Resort says the park entrance is about a one-minute walk from the hotel.
That is the location advantage you are paying for. You do not need to take a hotel shuttle or board the monorail simply to reach Tokyo Disneyland in the morning.

Is Tokyo Disneyland Hotel Inside the Park?
No. Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is outside the Tokyo Disneyland gates.
You still need valid park admission and must enter Tokyo Disneyland through the normal entrance procedures.
This is different from Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta, which is physically integrated into Tokyo DisneySea.
But in practical terms, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is extremely close. Disney identifies it as the closest hotel to the Tokyo Disneyland entrance.
How to Walk From Maihama Station to Tokyo Disneyland Hotel
JR Maihama Station is the main rail station I would use when arriving from central Tokyo.
Tokyo Disney Resort currently gives the walking route as:
- Exit JR Maihama Station through the South Exit.
- Turn right after leaving the station.
- Walk past Bon Voyage.
- Continue toward Tokyo Disneyland.
- Follow the hotel access route to Tokyo Disneyland Hotel.
Disney estimates the walk from Maihama Station to the hotel at approximately eight minutes.
Maihama itself is about 15 minutes by train from Tokyo Station on the JR Keiyo or Musashino Line.
You Can Take the Monorail From Maihama Instead
If I have luggage or simply do not want to walk from Maihama, there is another route.
Resort Gateway Station is next to JR Maihama Station. From there, take the Disney Resort Line one stop to Tokyo Disneyland Station.
Tokyo Disneyland Station is immediately beside Tokyo Disneyland Hotel.
The Disney Resort Line is a paid monorail. Suica, PASMO and other compatible transportation IC cards can be used.
Do You Need the Monorail From the Hotel to Tokyo Disneyland?
No. I would simply walk.
The monorail station sits between the hotel and Tokyo Disneyland, but you do not need to board it to reach the park entrance.
The Disney Resort Line becomes much more useful if you’re traveling from Tokyo Disneyland Hotel to Tokyo DisneySea or other parts of Tokyo Disney Resort.
Tokyo Disney specifically recommends the Disney Resort Line for travel between Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and DisneySea.

There Is No Hotel Shuttle From the Main Entrance
Tokyo Disneyland Hotel does not operate a Disney Resort Cruiser shuttle bus from its main entrance.
It does not really need one for Tokyo Disneyland because the park is directly in front of the hotel.
For other destinations around the resort, the Disney Resort Line is the more useful transportation option.

What Is Within Walking Distance of the Hotel?
The hotel’s location puts several useful parts of Tokyo Disney Resort close together.
- Tokyo Disneyland: approximately one minute from the hotel to the park entrance
- Tokyo Disneyland Station: immediately beside the hotel
- JR Maihama Station: approximately eight minutes on foot
- Bon Voyage: along the walking route between Maihama and the hotel
- Ikspiari: in the Maihama and Resort Gateway Station area, with additional dining and shopping outside the parks
This is why I would think of Tokyo Disneyland Hotel as a walkable Disneyland hotel first rather than a hotel that requires resort transportation every time I leave the room.
The Location Is Most Useful if Tokyo Disneyland Is Your Priority
If Tokyo Disneyland is the main park on my itinerary, this is about as convenient a hotel location as I can get.
If DisneySea is the bigger priority, I would compare other Disney Hotel locations as well because Tokyo Disneyland Hotel requires a Resort Line trip to reach DisneySea.
