1. Satu’li Canteen

First up is Satu’li Canteen. Located next to the Avatar Flight of Passage in the Animal Kingdom. This quick service Disney offering is one of their most unique Disney World restaurants. The reason we included this restaurant on this list is because of the original atmosphere and decorations. You really feel like you’re on another planet when you’re dining here.

As for food, the beef, chicken and fish bowls are a great quick and affordable  lunch or dinner. Make sure you save room for the blueberry cream-cheese mousse.

For adults, keep an eye out for the wine and beer selection. Definitely a great way to relax after taking part in the Avatar experience. While a great healthy choice for dining in Disney World, it’s the atmosphere that really shines. It feels like you’re on a ride while eating your lunch or dinner.

2. Oga’s Cantina

If you want to stay in your sci-fi mood for your Disney World restaurants, then head on over to Oga’s Cantina. While not offering too many food options, this experience shouldn’t be missed. Especially if you’re a Star Wars fan. In Oga’s Canteen, you’ll feel like you stepped into another world. Which is an experience in sight, sounds, and taste!

We wouldn’t technically classify this as a fully-fledged restaurant, however it does fall into the category of one of the most unique of the Disney World restaurants, even if they’re light on the food.

Oga’s Cantina is located in Batuu, the land of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

DISNEY PARK NERD TIP: Make a reservation in advance, even if just for a snack and a drink.

If you’re absolutely starving, we recommend ordering a Mustafarian Cinnamon Roll or the Batuu Bits with your Blue Bantha.

Just remember, you’re not here to stuff your face after a long day in the park. The only reason you should be here is for the most one-of-a-kind atmosphere. With DJ R-3X spinning tunes and your bartenders in full costume and character, the entire theme and mood of Oga’s Canteen will stay with you forever. Yes, even if you’re not the most hardcore of Star Wars fan.

3. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

You’ll find the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater on the walkway in Hollywood Studios. The atmosphere here is chill and classically cool.

As you know, this list of Disney World restaurants is all about unique atmospheres. The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is just that. Only it feels like you’re stepping back in time on a date in the 1950’s. When you dine here you get your own “car” booth. You’ll also be entertained with old movies continuously playing. If you’re a family, you can let your kids have their own car as well. Creating the ultimate date night.

The menu consists of a la cart classics. Offering you a selection of items such as hamburgers, pasta, and shrimp. Out of all the Disney World restaurants that are dine in, this is a pretty inexpensive when it comes to Disney World restaurants. Typically, entrees are around $20 each.

The waiters and waitresses (cast members) dive deep into their characters as well.

4. Be Our Guest

One of the most loved sit down dining experiences out of all the Disney World restaurants. Probably because the dining experience in the movie is such a memorable musical number. Yes, they even have the Grey stuff!

One of the most fun parts of the experience of dining here is watching the rose petals fall from the ceiling when the lightning crashes.

Just know, Be Our Guest has a bit of a higher price for this dining experience. Besides the higher price tag, we recommend this restaurant as you feel like you’re dining in a true Disney classic. We recommend asking for the Beast’s dining room. There are essentially three dining rooms and the Beasts is the best!

5. Sanaa, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge—Kidani Village

Sanaa isn’t too well known, but if you go once, you’ll never forget your experience. When you dine here, you’ll be treated with panoramic views of exotic wildlife roaming around their habitats.

African themed, they don’t let you down with their authentic cuisine. Offering a multitude of flavors that are memorable.

Ultimately, we think this is one of the most unique of the Disney World restaurants. Seriously, besides actually going to Africa on safari, where else can you have a view of zebras, giraffes, gazelles while dining on amazing international cuisine from Africa.

DISNEY PARK NERD TIP: We recommend trying the Indian bread sampler. You’ll be treated to fresh Naan bread and about a dozen different chutneys for dipping.
