History of Tokyo Disneyland Fantasy Springs
In 2015, Tokyo DisneySea said they were going to add a new “Scandinavia” port based on the movie Frozen. But later they decided it was more important to expand Tokyo Disneyland’s Fantasyland. So the plans for Scandinavia at Tokyo DisneySea are not happening now and we don’t know when they will happen.
Tokyo Disney Resort announced on June 14, 2018, that their new port area will include sections based on the films Tangled and Peter Pan. A new hotel, Kingdom of Arendelle, is set to be built nearby as well.
In October of 2022, it was announced that the new port’s opening day would be pushed back to Spring 2024 due to construction being extended as well as places restrictions on logistics and border measures for COVID-19 prevention.
