Disneyland Group Rates and Group Ticket Discounts

Disneyland does offer group ticket discounts, but simply bringing a large group of family or friends does not qualify you for a group rate. Disneyland’s specially priced group tickets are primarily available through Disney Imagination Campus for qualifying student and youth groups and through Disney Meetings & Events for business meetings, conventions and events.

For student and youth groups, the current minimum is 10 qualifying students ages 3 to 22. Disneyland student tickets currently start at $121 per student for eligible 2026 value-season dates.

If you’re planning a family reunion or a trip with 10, 12 or even 15 friends and relatives, there is currently no automatic Disneyland group discount based only on the number of tickets you’re buying.

Who Qualifies for Disneyland Group Rates?

Disneyland currently directs guests looking for specially priced group admission into two main programs.

Type of groupGroup rate? How it works
School or qualifying youth organizationYesDisney Imagination Campus
Business meeting, convention or eventYesDisney Meetings & Events
Family reunionNo automatic group discountBuy regular tickets and check current promotions
Large group of friendsNo automatic group discountBuy regular tickets and check current promotions

This is important because “group ticket” doesn’t simply mean purchasing a lot of Disneyland tickets in one transaction. Disney bases the special pricing on the type of organization or event.

Disneyland Student Group Ticket Prices

Disney Imagination Campus currently offers specially priced Disneyland tickets to qualifying student and youth groups.

For 2026, Disneyland student tickets currently start at $121 per student for a 1-Day, 1 Park ticket on qualifying value-season dates through December 11, 2026.

The actual price depends on the dates, number of park days and ticket type your group chooses.

Disney also offers multi-day and Park Hopper options, so $121 should be treated as the current starting price rather than the price every student group will pay.

You can review the current program on the Disney Imagination Campus student ticket page.

How Many People Do You Need for a Disneyland Student Group?

For Disney Student Tickets, you currently need a minimum of 10 students between ages 3 and 22.

The group must also come from a qualifying organization. Disney lists accredited schools, religious organizations and other organized youth groups among the types of groups that can qualify.

So a group of 10 children and young adults traveling together as friends would not automatically qualify just because they meet the age and headcount requirements. Disney reviews the organization for eligibility.

Do Chaperones Get Disneyland Group Tickets?

Eligible Disney Imagination Campus groups can receive complimentary chaperone tickets.

The number of complimentary chaperone tickets depends on the ticket product, group size and Disney’s destination-specific requirements, so I would confirm the exact allowance while arranging the group reservation.

How Far Ahead Do Student Groups Need to Book?

Disney currently requires Disneyland Student Tickets to be purchased and paid in full at least 60 days before the visit, although Disney notes that exceptions may sometimes apply.

This is not a ticket type I would leave until the week before the trip.

Disney currently accepts organizational credit cards, checks, cashier’s checks, money orders, ACH and wire transfers for these bookings. Disney Gift Cards and personal checks are not accepted for Disney Student Ticket orders.

Theme park reservations are also required for Disneyland student tickets for the same date and starting park as the admission.

Disneyland Group Rates for Business Meetings and Conventions

The other major Disneyland group-ticket program is Disney Meetings & Events.

This program is intended for business meetings, conferences, conventions, corporate events and other organized functions at or associated with the Disneyland Resort.

Disney currently says meeting and event attendees can receive specially priced Disneyland theme park tickets. Family and friends traveling with attendees may also have access to the specially priced ticket options offered through the event.

Disney does not publish one universal Disneyland business group ticket price. Pricing depends on the specific meeting or event, so you’ll need to work with Disney Meetings & Events for the available ticket options.

You can start with Disney Meetings & Events at Disneyland.

Does a Family of 10 Get a Disneyland Group Discount?

No. Disneyland does not currently give a normal family or friend group a discount simply because 10 people are buying tickets.

Disney confirmed this again in 2026 when a guest asked specifically about buying Disneyland tickets for a group of 10.

A group of 10 can still use any regular Disneyland promotion for which its individual members qualify, but there isn’t a standard volume discount for buying 10 tickets together.

What About a Group of 12 or 15 People?

The same rule applies.

A family reunion with 12 people, a birthday trip with 15 friends or several families traveling together does not automatically become eligible for Disneyland group pricing.

The group would need to qualify under one of Disney’s applicable programs, such as an eligible student organization or business event, for the special group-ticket programs discussed above.

Otherwise, I would compare normal Disneyland ticket promotions and established ticket sellers rather than trying to reach an arbitrary group-size threshold.

How Do You Buy Disneyland Tickets for a Large Family Group?

If you’re simply organizing a large family or friend trip, you can still buy regular Disneyland tickets without using a special group program.

Disney currently allows up to 10 adult tickets and 5 child tickets in a transaction through the Disneyland website or mobile app. If the makeup of your party exceeds what the online system allows in one purchase, you may need to divide the tickets among transactions or contact Disneyland Ticket Services for assistance.

Buying tickets separately does not prevent your group from visiting together. Each guest still needs valid admission and the required theme park reservation for the date you’re visiting.

Are Disneyland Group Tickets Always the Cheapest Option?

No. Even when your organization qualifies for group pricing, I would compare exactly what the group ticket includes and what your group needs.

A Disney Imagination Campus ticket can make excellent sense for a qualifying school or youth organization, especially when the trip also includes an educational workshop or performance opportunity.

But a normal family group doesn’t need to create a complicated group booking simply to save money. In that situation, current Disney promotions or legitimate discounted tickets may be the better route.

My current Disneyland ticket discounts guide covers the offers worth checking, while my best place to buy Disneyland tickets guide compares the regular buying options.

What About Educational Workshops and Performances?

Disney Imagination Campus is more than a discounted-ticket program.

Qualifying student groups can add separately priced educational experiences covering areas such as STEM, leadership, storytelling and performing arts.

The participant requirement can be higher for an individual workshop than it is for the basic student-ticket program. For example, some Disneyland performing arts workshops require 15 students, while certain instrumental programs require 20 performers.

That’s likely where some of the older advice about needing 15 or more people originates. It should not be confused with the current 10-student minimum for Disney Student Tickets themselves.

Where to Get an Official Disneyland Group Rate

I would use the type of group to decide where to start:

The key is that Disneyland group rates are based on the type of group, not simply the number of people going to the parks.

If you’re organizing a school or qualifying youth group, the current starting point is 10 eligible students and tickets from $121 per student. If you’re bringing 10, 12 or 15 relatives or friends, there is no automatic group ticket discount, so I would shop the normal Disneyland ticket options instead.

Disneyland Ticket Help

If you want to double-check your plan before you buy, here are the Disneyland ticket pages I use the most. Start with this overview of Disneyland tickets so you know what you’re choosing between, then use Disneyland ticket prices to estimate your total and cheapest days to go to Disneyland if you’re flexible and want the best value.

If you’re deciding on upgrades, I’d read is Park Hopper worth it first so you don’t pay extra just out of habit. For line skipping, compare Lightning Lane Multi Pass with Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Looking for discounts or alternative ways to pay? Here’s what I’d check: are Disneyland tickets cheaper at Costco, discount tickets for students, can you buy Disneyland tickets with Klarna, and can you buy Disneyland tickets with Affirm.

And if your plans change after you’ve purchased, these pages make the fine print easier to understand: Ticket refund policy, ticket change policy, and cancellation policy. Once you’ve got tickets in hand, this step-by-step guide on how to link Disneyland tickets to app will help you get everything set up before you arrive.
