Disneyland does not currently offer a standard individual student discount just for showing a college or university ID. However, qualifying student and youth groups with at least 10 students may purchase specially priced Disney Student Tickets, and individual students can still save through school benefit programs, public Disneyland promotions, resident offers and legitimate discount ticket sellers.
I know that is not quite as simple as walking up to the ticket booth with a student ID, but there are still several realistic ways to reduce the cost. The important thing is understanding the difference between an individual college student looking for a discount and an organized student group traveling together.
Before buying, I recommend reviewing the main Disneyland ticket options so you know whether you need one park per day, Park Hopper or any additional upgrades.
Does Disneyland Offer a Student Discount?
Disneyland does not have a publicly advertised discount for an individual high school or college student simply presenting a student ID.
That means you should not expect to show your school identification at the Disneyland ticket booth and receive a lower price. The normal adult or child ticket price applies unless you qualify for a separate promotion or purchase through an eligible student group.
Disney does, however, offer specially priced tickets through Disney Imagination Campus for qualifying organized student and youth groups.
Disneyland Student Group Tickets
Disney Student Tickets are designed for organized student and youth groups rather than individual college students or casual groups of friends.
Current Disneyland student group pricing starts at approximately $121 per student for qualifying one-day, one-park visits during eligible value-season dates. The final price depends on the travel date, number of park days and ticket type.
Who Qualifies for Disney Student Tickets?
According to Disney’s current program requirements, a qualifying group generally needs:
- At least 10 students
- Students or youth participants between ages 3 and 22
- An organized school, youth or educational group
- Advance booking and payment
- Valid admission and a park reservation for the same date and starting park
Qualifying groups may include school classes, performing arts groups, sports teams, scouts, church youth groups and other organized youth programs.
A group of 10 college friends planning an informal vacation should not assume it qualifies. Disney’s student pricing is intended for eligible organized groups, and Disney or the authorized group travel provider determines whether the group meets the requirements.
How to Buy Disneyland Student Group Tickets
A teacher, group leader, coach or travel organizer should begin the process through the official Disney Imagination Campus student ticket program.
The group may also be able to add educational workshops, performance experiences, leadership programs or other Disney Imagination Campus activities for an additional price.
Disney Student Tickets are generally limited, nonrefundable and nontransferable. One-day tickets are valid only for the specified date, while multi-day tickets must be used within the period listed in the group’s agreement.
Can Individual College Students Get Discount Disneyland Tickets?
An individual student cannot normally buy a reduced Disneyland ticket directly from Disney based only on college enrollment. However, your school or another organization connected to you may provide access to a separate benefit program.
I would check the following before paying the normal ticket price:
- Your university student activities or student union office
- Your campus recreation department
- Your school’s employee and student benefits portal
- Alumni association benefits
- Your employer’s entertainment ticket portal
- A credit union, union or professional membership program
Access to these programs varies by school and organization. Even when a portal advertises discounted Disneyland tickets, compare the final price and restrictions with Disney’s current public offers.
Best Ways for Students to Save on Disneyland Tickets
1. Compare General Disneyland Ticket Discounts
A public promotion may save more than a school benefit program. Disney periodically releases ticket offers for children, eligible residents, military families and other groups.

2. Check Residency-Based Disneyland Offers
Disneyland periodically offers specially priced tickets to residents of eligible Southern California or Anaheim ZIP codes.
Attending a college in California does not automatically make you eligible. These promotions are based on the residency rules listed in the offer, and Disney may require a qualifying government-issued photo ID.

3. Use a Military Discount When Eligible
Students who are active-duty service members, eligible veterans, reservists or qualifying military spouses may have access to Disneyland’s military ticket offers.
A student whose parent or spouse serves in the military may also qualify under the terms of the current promotion. Eligibility, identification and activation requirements can be strict, so confirm the rules before buying.
4. Compare Authorized Ticket Sellers
Established Disneyland ticket sellers sometimes offer multi-day admission below Disney’s standard price. The savings may be modest, but they can add up when several students are traveling together.
Compare the same ticket type across every seller. Make sure the quotes use the same number of days, Park Hopper option, age category and Lightning Lane choice.

5. Check Costco Disneyland Packages
Costco generally focuses on Disneyland vacation packages rather than deeply discounted standalone admission. A package may include a hotel, theme park tickets and additional benefits.

6. Skip Ticket Upgrades You Do Not Need
One of the easiest ways to lower the ticket price is to avoid automatically adding Park Hopper or Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
For a two-day trip, spending one day at Disneyland Park and one day at Disney California Adventure can work well with a less expensive one-park-per-day ticket.
Park Hopper is convenient because the entrances are close together, but it is not essential for every trip. Compare the upgrade price with the amount of flexibility you will realistically use.
7. Consider a Magic Key Only for Frequent Visits
A Magic Key annual pass may reduce the cost per visit for a student who lives nearby and expects to return several times during the year.
Do the math using the pass price, blockout dates, reservation availability, parking and the number of visits you will realistically make. An annual pass does not save money if your schedule prevents you from using it.

Can You Show a Student ID at Disneyland for a Discount?
No. A normal student ID does not provide an automatic discount at Disneyland ticket booths or online checkout.
A student ID may be needed as part of a university benefit program, but the discount would come from that particular program rather than from Disneyland’s normal public ticket policy.
Do not travel to Anaheim expecting to negotiate a student price at the gate. Buy and link your admission before the visit, and confirm that you have the required park reservation.

Be cautious when a website claims to offer an exclusive Disneyland college discount without clearly explaining who operates the program.
- Do not buy a ticket from an individual on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace or another resale platform.
- Avoid sellers requesting payment by wire transfer, gift card or cryptocurrency.
- Confirm the ticket’s valid dates, number of park days and expiration rules.
- Make sure the ticket can be linked to your MyDisney account.
- Check whether a required park reservation is available before finalizing nonrefundable travel plans.
If your plans are uncertain, review the Disneyland ticket refund policy before choosing between Disney and a third-party seller.
