Which Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels Are Actually Close?

Disneyland currently lists 57 Good Neighbor Hotels around the Disneyland Resort, but they are definitely not all equally close to the parks. Some sit directly across the street from the entrances, while others are more than a mile away and make much more sense with a shuttle or car.

“Good Neighbor” tells you the hotel is a Disney-approved property near Disneyland. It doesn’t tell you whether you’ll walk five minutes back to your room after fireworks or need transportation at the end of the night.

Disney’s current Good Neighbor directory contains 57 hotels. I’ve organized the entire list below using Disney’s own distance categories so it’s easier to see which options actually put you close to the parks.

Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels Map

If location is your main concern, I would look at the map before comparing pools, breakfast or room size. Disneyland’s official directory lets you filter hotels by Across the Street, Less Than Half a Mile, Half Mile to 1 Mile and More Than 1 Mile.

View Disney’s official Good Neighbor Hotel map

For me, the most useful starting point is the group Disney labels Across the Street. If being able to walk back to the hotel during the afternoon or after a long park day matters, I’d begin there rather than searching the entire list of 57.

The 10 Good Neighbor Hotels Disney Lists as Across the Street

  • Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn
  • Best Western Plus Park Place Inn & Mini Suites
  • Camelot Inn & Suites
  • Castle Inn & Suites
  • Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance
  • Fairfield Inn by Marriott Anaheim Resort
  • Grand Legacy at the Park
  • Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground
  • The Anaheim Hotel
  • Tropicana Inn & Suites

These are the properties I’d investigate first if the goal is simply to stay close enough that Disneyland feels accessible without depending on a shuttle.

My separate guide to hotels within walking distance of Disneyland goes further into the walking question, since Disney’s distance categories don’t necessarily tell you what the actual walk will feel like.

Good Neighbor Hotels Less Than Half a Mile Away

Disney currently puts four hotels in the next distance category:

  • Candy Cane Inn
  • Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim Resort
  • Holiday Inn Express & Suites Anaheim Resort Area
  • Home2 Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort

Candy Cane Inn is particularly interesting because Disney currently lists it as less than half a mile away and offering free transportation to the Disneyland Resort. That gives you the option to walk without necessarily having to walk every time.

Good Neighbor Hotels Half a Mile to 1 Mile From Disneyland

This is the largest group in Disney’s directory. A hotel in this category may still be walkable for some visitors, but I wouldn’t assume that simply because the property is called an “Anaheim Resort” hotel.

  • Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel
  • Anaheim Marriott
  • Anaheim Portofino Inn & Suites
  • Anaheim Resort Suites
  • Best Western Plus Raffles Inn & Suites
  • Best Western Plus Stovall’s Inn
  • Candlewood Suites Anaheim Resort Area
  • Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort
  • Clementine Hotel & Suites Anaheim
  • Cortona Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort
  • Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Resort Convention Center
  • Desert Palms Hotel & Suites Anaheim Resort
  • DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Anaheim Resort Convention Center
  • Element by Westin Anaheim Resort Convention Center
  • Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim
  • Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort Convention Center
  • Hilton Anaheim
  • Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort Convention Center
  • Hotel Lulu Anaheim Resort
  • Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort Convention Center
  • Hyatt Place at Anaheim Resort Convention Center
  • JW Marriott Anaheim Resort
  • Motel 6 Anaheim Maingate
  • Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Convention Center
  • Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort
  • SpringHill Suites Anaheim Resort Convention Center
  • SunCoast Park Hotel Anaheim, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
  • The Westin Anaheim Resort

At this distance, I’d stop treating all the hotels as interchangeable. Look at the exact walking route, transportation options and parking cost before booking. A straight-line distance to Disneyland can feel very different after you’ve already spent twelve hours walking around the parks.

Good Neighbor Hotels More Than 1 Mile Away

The remaining 15 hotels are listed by Disney as more than a mile from the Disneyland Resort:

  • Anaheim Marriott Suites
  • Best Western Plus Pavilions
  • Delta Hotels by Marriott Anaheim Garden Grove
  • Embassy Suites by Hilton Anaheim South
  • Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Anaheim Garden Grove
  • Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim Garden Grove
  • Holiday Inn & Suites Anaheim
  • Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim Maingate Area
  • Hyatt Regency Orange County
  • Residence Inn by Marriott Anaheim Resort Area Garden Grove
  • Sheraton Garden Grove – Anaheim South
  • Sonesta Anaheim Resort Area
  • Sonesta ES Suites Anaheim Resort Area
  • SpringHill Suites by Marriott Anaheim Maingate
  • The Viv Hotel, Anaheim, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

I wouldn’t rule these out because of distance alone. Some have larger rooms, resort-style amenities or transportation that can make them a better fit than a basic motel across the street. But if you’re imagining that every Good Neighbor Hotel is immediately outside Disneyland’s gates, this part of the list is the reason that’s not true.

What Does “Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel” Actually Mean?

A Good Neighbor Hotel is not a Disneyland Resort hotel. These are independently operated hotels that Disney identifies as Disney-approved quality hotels located close to the Disneyland Resort.

Staying at a Good Neighbor Hotel doesn’t suddenly make the property Disney-owned, and individual hotels still set their own room policies, parking charges, breakfast offerings, transportation arrangements and other amenities.

Disney currently has only three Disneyland Resort hotels: Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel. If you want to compare those with the off-property choices, see my guide to Disneyland hotels.

The Biggest Difference Is Location, Not the Good Neighbor Label

If I’m choosing between Good Neighbor Hotels, I wouldn’t make the Disney designation the deciding factor. Every hotel on this page already has that designation.

I’d compare the things that actually change the trip: walking distance, room layout, nightly price, parking fees, breakfast and transportation.

For a park-heavy trip where I’m barely using the hotel, I’d generally value an easy walk over a more elaborate lobby or pool. Being able to walk back to the room without waiting for transportation can become a surprisingly big luxury after Disneyland closes.

If I’m traveling with a larger family or staying longer, I’d give more weight to suites, kitchens and included breakfast. That’s where some of the farther Good Neighbor Hotels start becoming more attractive.

Good Neighbor Hotel Packages Can Include More Than the Room

You can book many of these hotels independently, but Disney also sells Good Neighbor Hotel vacation packages through the Walt Disney Travel Company.

For current 2026 packages, Disney says the package can include Disneyland theme park tickets for each Guest age 3 and older. The standard package tickets are available for 2 to 5 days with one park per day, and Park Hopper tickets can be added for an additional charge.

The package also currently includes 10% savings at participating Downtown Disney dining and merchandise locations through the Magical Extras voucher, plus a Walt Disney Travel Company collectible pin and lanyard.

Those are package benefits. I wouldn’t assume you’ll receive them just because you booked the same hotel directly through Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt or another travel website.

You can see Disney’s current Good Neighbor Hotel vacation packages before comparing them with booking the hotel and Disneyland tickets separately.

Good Neighbor Hotels Don’t Get the Same Disney Hotel Perks

This is another area where older Disneyland hotel advice can be misleading.

Disneyland Resort hotel Guests currently receive one complimentary entry to one eligible Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction during their hotel stay. That benefit is specifically advertised for registered Guests staying at the three Disneyland Resort hotels, not as a general Good Neighbor Hotel benefit.

So I wouldn’t choose a Good Neighbor Hotel expecting the same on-property perks simply because Disney lists it on Disneyland.com. You’re primarily getting an independently operated hotel near Disneyland, with the option of booking it as part of an official Disney vacation package.

The Good Neighbor Hotels I’d Look at First

I wouldn’t try to narrow 57 hotels down by star rating alone. I’d start with the trip I’m actually taking.

For the shortest practical walk: start with Best Western Plus Park Place Inn & Mini Suites, Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn, Tropicana Inn & Suites, Grand Legacy at the Park, Fairfield Inn or the other hotels Disney places in its Across the Street category.

For kids who care about the hotel itself: Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground or Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance are worth comparing because the hotel experience can be part of the trip rather than simply somewhere to sleep.

For more of a full-service hotel feel: I’d look at properties such as the Westin Anaheim Resort, JW Marriott Anaheim Resort, Anaheim Marriott or Hyatt Regency Orange County and then decide whether the extra distance is worth the trade.

And if parking cost could erase part of the savings from staying off-property, I keep a separate list of hotels near Disneyland with free parking.

Check the List Again Before You Book

The Good Neighbor roster changes. That’s important because old Disneyland hotel lists can remain indexed long after a property leaves the program or changes names.

This page reflects Disneyland’s current 57-hotel directory. Before booking specifically because a property is a Good Neighbor Hotel, I would still confirm it on Disneyland’s official Good Neighbor Hotel list.

For me, the label is most useful as a starting filter. Once a hotel makes the list, distance is the first thing I’d compare. At Disneyland, being able to walk across Harbor Boulevard and get back to your room quickly can be more valuable than a long list of amenities you barely use.
