How to Buy Disneyland Tickets With a Disney Gift Card
I would buy directly through Disney if using a Disney Gift Card. The process is basically the same as buying tickets with a regular credit card.
- Go to the official Disneyland ticket page or open the Disneyland app.
- Choose your number of park days, ticket type and visit dates.
- Continue through the normal purchase process until you reach payment.
- Select the Disney Gift Card payment option.
- Enter the account number and security information from your Disney Gift Card.
- If the gift card doesn’t cover the entire purchase, pay the remaining eligible balance with a credit or debit card.
Once the purchase is complete, your Disneyland tickets work the same way as tickets bought with any other accepted payment method.
Can You Use a Disney Gift Card in the Disneyland App to Buy Tickets?
Yes. You can currently use a Disney Gift Card when purchasing Disneyland theme park tickets through the Disneyland mobile app.
This is worth pointing out because older information online sometimes says you need to use the desktop Disneyland website. That is no longer the case.
The same limitation applies in the app, though: you can use only one Disney Gift Card per transaction. If you have several cards, combine the balances before starting checkout.
Can You Use Multiple Disney Gift Cards to Buy Disneyland Tickets?
Yes, but Disneyland’s online checkout won’t let you enter several Disney Gift Cards into one transaction.
The easiest solution is to combine the balances first.
- Go to DisneyGiftCard.com and sign in with your MyDisney account.
- Add the Disney Gift Cards you want to manage.
- Choose the card you want to keep as your main card.
- Transfer the balances from your other cards onto that card.
Disney currently allows a maximum balance of $1,000 on a single Disney Gift Card.
For example, if I had four $100 Disney Gift Cards, I’d combine them into one $400 card and use that single card during Disneyland checkout.
What If Your Disneyland Tickets Cost More Than $1,000?
The $1,000 Disney Gift Card balance limit becomes important if you’re buying several tickets at once.
One option is to divide your ticket purchase into separate transactions. That can let you use another combined Disney Gift Card for the next purchase instead of trying to put more than $1,000 onto one card.
You can also contact Disneyland ticketing if you need help using multiple Disney Gift Cards for a larger purchase. Disney has advised guests that Cast Members can assist with multiple gift cards when purchasing tickets by phone.
Can You Use a Disney Gift Card and Credit Card Together?
Yes. You do not need enough money on your Disney Gift Card to cover the entire Disneyland ticket purchase.
Disney currently lets you choose how much of the eligible ticket purchase you want to pay with the Disney Gift Card. You can then use a credit or debit card for the remaining balance.
For example, if your Disneyland tickets cost $550 and you have a $300 Disney Gift Card, you can apply the $300 gift card balance and pay the remaining $250 with an eligible credit or debit card.
This is much easier than trying to make the gift card balance match the ticket price exactly.
Can You Buy Park Hopper Tickets With a Disney Gift Card?
Yes. A Disney Gift Card can be used toward Disneyland theme park tickets that include the Park Hopper option when you’re purchasing through Disney.
The gift card is simply being used as the payment method. It doesn’t limit you to a basic 1 Park Per Day ticket.

Can You Buy Promotional Disneyland Tickets With a Disney Gift Card?
