Disney Adventure is different from the Wish-class ships that immediately preceded it.
Disney describes Adventure as the largest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Rather than operating from Florida, it is based in Singapore and was designed around short cruises where the ship itself is a major part of the destination.
The ship is organized into seven themed areas inspired by Disney, Pixar and Marvel stories:

What Ship Came Before Disney Adventure?
The ship immediately before Disney Adventure was Disney Destiny.
Disney Destiny entered service in November 2025 and became the seventh Disney Cruise Line ship.
Destiny is closely related to Disney Wish and Disney Treasure and uses a heroes-and-villains theme, with experiences inspired by characters and stories including Black Panther, Spider-Man, Cruella de Vil and Hercules.

What Is the Next New Disney Cruise Ship?
Disney has already announced that the fleet will continue growing after Disney Adventure.
Four additional ships are planned to arrive between 2027 and 2031, bringing Disney Cruise Line to a planned total of 13 ships.
Disney has not yet announced the names, final designs or itineraries for those four ships.
That means Disney Adventure remains the newest named Disney Cruise Line ship currently in service, while additional vessels are still under development.
