You’ll find a lot of unusual parts, whimsical pieces, and miscellaneous memorabilia at Black Spire Outpost, where the “gatherers” welcome you in.
Where you’ll be able to build your own lightsaber based on your selection of any of the four Galaxy Edge Lightsaber types!
Once your lightsaber is complete you’ll meet a group of “Gatherers” and get a ride into a secret workshop packed with wacky parts, whimsical pieces, and other’s Edge.
Savi’s Workshop is hidden away in Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and offers an memorable experience for Star Wars fans.

Build your lightsaber
When you first arrive at Savi’s workshop, one of his Gatherers will meet you and present you with four different Galaxy’s Edge Lightsaber types to choose from.
Depending on the theme you select, you’ll also receive a cloisonné pin to help identify your choice.
Galaxy’s Edge Lightsaber types include:
1. Peace and Justice
These early Republic designs were constructed from the remains of Jedi temples and razed starships salvaged from collapsed temples.
2. Power and Control
This illustrious arts of war has its origins in the Dark Side and is made from materials taken from Sith homeworlds and lost temples.
3. Elemental Nature
The Force is represented by natural objects like Brylark trees, Cartusion whale bones, Rancor teeth, etc..
4 . Protection/Defense Focus
The material of the blade as well as symbols& inscriptions etched on it- serve to connect users to an ancient Force source/wellspring.
At the workshop, you’ll choose the kyber crystal for your lightsaber—red, blue, green or violet.
This is a key part of the experience for any true Star Wars fan. Once you’ve selected your desired Lightsaber model from Galaxy’s Edge range that speaks to you, you’ll start piecing together your hilt.
Your hilt will be composed of different parts based on its theme and cloisonné pin design.
Pick the type of Galaxy’s Edge Lightsaber you choose: 1 hilt, 4 sleeves (2), 2 emitters (1), 2 pommel caps (1).
When you’re finished constructing your Galaxy’s Edge Lightsaber, the parts that weren’t used will be gathered by the Gatherers and added to Savi’s inventory.
These aren’t included (no matter which Galaxy’s Edge Lightsaber type you pick from) with your lightsaber package.
Finally, the skilled Gatherers will combine your hilt with a 31” lightsaber blade, allowing you to face any challenge the galaxy throws at you!

What we also enjoyed about the workshop is how Savi and a crew of Gatherers guided you through the workshop, where they explain the history of the lightsaber and the differences between the Galaxy’s Edge Lightsaber types.
It is made clear throughout the film that the future security of the galaxy rests with the heroes of the past – Obi-Wan, Anakin Skywalker and Yoda.
It takes about 10 minutes.
