You don’t need a car to find good food outside Aulani. Most of the easiest restaurants near Aulani are either across the street at Ko Olina Center and Ko Olina Station or next door at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu.
That gives you everything from pancakes and poke to Mexican food, pizza, seafood and a nicer Italian dinner without driving into Kapolei.
I’ve eaten around Ko Olina while staying at Aulani, and Monkeypod was one of the standouts for me. But the nearby lineup has changed over time, so this guide focuses on the restaurants and quick-service options that are actually there now.
Walkable Restaurants Near Aulani at a Glance
| Place | Best for | Where it is |
|---|---|---|
| Monkeypod Kitchen | Full-service lunch, dinner, cocktails | Ko Olina Station |
| Eggs ‘n Things | Pancakes and breakfast | Ko Olina Center |
| Farm To Barn Cafe & Juicery | Açaí, smoothies and lighter meals | Ko Olina Center |
| Tropic Poke | Quick poke lunch | Ko Olina Center |
| Island Country Market | Grab-and-go food, deli and groceries | Ko Olina Station |
| Mekiko Cantina | Mexican food and margaritas | Ko Olina Center |
| 808 Craft House | Casual dinner, burgers, beer and cocktails | Ko Olina Center |
| Mina’s Fish House | Upscale seafood | Four Seasons |
| Noe | Italian dinner and date night | Four Seasons |
The Ko Olina Center and Station complex is directly across Ali’inui Drive from the resort area and is specifically designed to be walkable from nearby hotels. Mina’s Fish House and Noe are inside the Four Seasons next door to Aulani.
Monkeypod Kitchen: The Sit-Down Restaurant I’d Start With
If you want one full-service meal outside Aulani without going far, Monkeypod Kitchen is the place I’d look at first.
It’s in Ko Olina Station across from the resort area and serves lunch and dinner, plus weekend brunch. The menu leans toward locally sourced Hawaiian and New American food, with pizza, seafood, sandwiches and a strong cocktail and craft-beer program.
I liked it because it felt like a genuine dinner out rather than simply a cheaper substitute for resort food. The atmosphere is casual enough for families but still works well if you want drinks and a longer dinner.
Reservations are available and are worth considering for dinner, especially when Ko Olina is busy.
Eggs ‘n Things: The Easy Breakfast Choice
If you’re looking for a traditional breakfast within walking distance of Aulani, Eggs ‘n Things is in Ko Olina Center.
The focus is pancakes, omelets, crepes and familiar breakfast plates, along with local-style options such as loco moco, Portuguese sausage and fried rice.
This is a useful option when you want a substantial breakfast outside the resort rather than a coffee-and-pastry stop.
For a broader comparison of morning options around Ko Olina, see our separate guide to breakfast near Aulani.
Farm To Barn Cafe & Juicery: For a Lighter Breakfast or Lunch
Farm To Barn Cafe & Juicery fills a gap that older Aulani dining guides may miss.
It’s a casual Ko Olina Center spot built around smoothies, cold-pressed juices, açaí and coconut bowls, breakfast sandwiches, wraps and other lighter meals.
I would look here when you want something fresher and quicker than a full sit-down breakfast or lunch. It also gives Ko Olina a useful alternative now that the old Island Vintage Coffee location across from Aulani is gone.
Tropic Poke: A Quick Poke Bowl Near Aulani
Tropic Poke is currently open in Ko Olina Center and specializes in build-your-own poke bowls.
This is more of a quick lunch than a leisurely dinner. You choose your base, fish, sauces and toppings, making it easy to pick up food and head back toward the resort or lagoon.
Hours can be more limited than the larger restaurants in the complex, so I would check the current Ko Olina dining directory before making a special trip there late in the day.
Island Country Market: The Most Useful Cheap-ish Food Stop
Island Country Market is technically a market, deli and convenience store rather than a traditional restaurant, but it may be one of the most practical food options near Aulani.
The Ko Olina location has a full-service deli along with sushi, poke, sandwiches, salads, plate lunches, breakfast items, coffee and groceries.
We used the market more than once when we wanted food we could bring back to the room or take toward the beach without sitting through another restaurant meal.
It’s also useful if your room has a kitchenette or you simply want fruit, drinks and breakfast supplies rather than buying every snack inside the resort.
Mekiko Cantina: Mexican Food and Margaritas
Mekiko Cantina is a full-service Mexican restaurant in Ko Olina Center.
It’s a good change of pace if several days of resort and Hawaiian-style food have you craving tacos, Mexican entrees or a margarita. The restaurant also runs a happy hour and has a substantial tequila selection.
This is another option I’d consider for an easy dinner because you can walk over from Aulani rather than arrange transportation into Kapolei.
808 Craft House: Casual Dinner and Drinks
808 Craft House is another current Ko Olina Center restaurant that wasn’t part of the older nearby dining lineup.
It’s more bar-and-grill than resort restaurant, with craft beer, cocktails and a menu built around dishes such as burgers, pizza, sandwiches, tacos and larger dinner plates.
I would choose it when you want something casual, want to watch a game, or simply don’t want another polished resort dinner.
Mina’s Fish House: Seafood Next Door at the Four Seasons
If you’re willing to spend more for dinner, you don’t have to drive anywhere. Mina’s Fish House is at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu next to Aulani.
Chef Michael Mina’s oceanfront restaurant focuses on seafood and coastal cuisine, with a much more polished setting than the casual restaurants across the street.
I would put this in the special-dinner category rather than the everyday Aulani alternative. Reservations are recommended.
Noe: Italian Food for a Nicer Dinner
Noe is also at the Four Seasons and takes the meal in a completely different direction.
The restaurant focuses on Southern Italian cooking, including handmade pasta, seafood and seasonal dishes in an open-air garden setting.
If you want a date night or special dinner while staying at Aulani, I’d compare Noe with Mina’s Fish House and Aulani’s own signature dining before deciding where you want to splurge.
What Happened to Island Vintage Coffee Near Aulani?
If you’ve read an older Aulani dining guide, you may see Island Vintage Coffee recommended as a walkable Ko Olina breakfast option.
The Ko Olina location is no longer open. It closed in 2023 and is not part of the current Ko Olina Center & Station dining directory.
Island Vintage now has a location at Kapolei Commons, but that isn’t the same walk-across-the-street option Aulani guests used to have.
If you’re looking for the kind of breakfast or lighter meal that the former Ko Olina Island Vintage provided, Farm To Barn Cafe & Juicery is now one of the more relevant walkable alternatives.
You Don’t Need a Car to Eat Outside Aulani
This is the most useful thing to know before your stay. You can easily leave Aulani for breakfast, lunch or dinner without renting a car or calling an Uber.
For casual meals, the concentration of restaurants at Ko Olina Center and Ko Olina Station gives you several choices across the street. For a more upscale evening, you can walk next door to the Four Seasons.
If you’re staying several nights, I wouldn’t necessarily pick one “best” restaurant and eat there repeatedly. I’d use Island Country Market for quick meals, one of the Ko Olina Center restaurants for casual dinners, and then choose a nicer meal at Monkeypod, Mina’s or Noe depending on what you want to spend.
What About Restaurants Inside Aulani?
This guide is primarily about restaurants near Aulani rather than restaurants inside the resort.
Aulani itself has everything from quick-service food and poolside dining to Makahiki and ‘AMA‘AMA, so leaving the resort isn’t required. The advantage of walking into Ko Olina is simply having more choice.
If you’re deciding where to eat on-property, see our Aulani restaurant and reservation guide. If you’re visiting rather than staying overnight, our guide to eating at Aulani without staying there covers the access rules separately.
