Disneyland Magic Key exclusive events do not follow a fixed annual calendar. Instead, Disney releases rotating “Extras Unlocked” offers such as giveaways, passholder merchandise, limited-time food, presale opportunities and occasional reservation-based experiences.
That distinction matters because not every Disneyland event is included with a Magic Key pass. Some experiences are truly limited to passholders, some only provide early ticket access, and others are regular park events with a temporary Magic Key perk attached.
Current Disneyland Magic Key Exclusive Events and Extras
The following offers were listed by Disneyland as of August 11, 2026. Availability can change quickly, and physical items may disappear before the published end date if supplies run out. Check Disney’s Magic Key Extras Unlocked page before making a special trip.
King Arthur Carrousel popcorn bucket and refills
Magic Key holders can purchase the light-up King Arthur Carrousel popcorn bucket at select Disneyland Park popcorn carts through August 17, 2026, while supplies last. Standard popcorn refills are $2.25 at participating carts through the same date. A valid Magic Key must be shown, and Disney does not apply a passholder discount to the bucket itself.
Complimentary Mandalorian and Grogu attraction poster
A complimentary Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run poster featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu is available to Magic Key holders at Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney. Disney lists no fixed ending date, so this is strictly a while-supplies-last offer. The passholder must be present and show a valid Magic Key at pickup.
Passholder-only food in mobile order
Two items currently appear only for eligible passholders using mobile order in the Disneyland app: a savory snack sampler at Stage Door Café and an artisanal-style pizza combo at Alien Pizza Planet. You must be signed in to the MyDisney account connected to your valid pass. Because both restaurants are inside Disneyland Park, admission and a park reservation are also required.
Magic Key Terrace
Magic Key Terrace is a year-round passholder dining lounge in Disney California Adventure, not an after-hours event called “Magic Key Terrace Nights.” A Magic Key holder may dine with guests in a party of up to six, but the holder must show the pass in the app and remain for the experience. Reservations are strongly recommended.
Seasonal hotel and renewal offers
Disney is also advertising up to 20% off select Sunday-through-Thursday Disneyland Resort hotel stays through September 7, 2026, with booking required by August 25. Availability and room restrictions apply, so compare the live offer with the details in our Magic Key hotel-discount guide.
For on-time renewals purchased from May 27, 2026, through May 26, 2027, Disney currently includes a dining card based on the renewed tier: $100 for Inspire, $75 for Believe, $50 for Explore and $25 for Imagine. This is a renewal incentive rather than an event, but it may be more valuable than many of the short-lived giveaways.
What Actually Counts as a Magic Key Exclusive?
The term “exclusive event” is often used too broadly. Before changing your park plans, look at how Disney describes the offer.
- Holder-only access: The Magic Key Terrace, app-locked food items and certain merchandise or giveaways require a valid Magic Key.
- Early purchase access: Magic Key holders may receive a limited presale for a separately ticketed event. The event itself is not exclusive to passholders.
- A passholder extra at a public festival: Disney may add a special button, lanyard, dining area, photo opportunity or discounted Sip and Savor Pass during a festival open to regular guests.
- An invitation or preview: Disney can announce limited previews or celebrations, but preview access is not a standard benefit promised with every Magic Key.
Passholder merchandise, the complimentary Magic Key PhotoPass lens and year-round Magic Key discounts are benefits, but they should not be mistaken for private events with lower crowds or special park access.
Is Disneyland After Dark Free With a Magic Key?
No. Disneyland After Dark is a separately ticketed series open to the public. Magic Key holders received access to a limited ticket presale for the 2026 parties, but still had to buy an event ticket. Disney states that the 2026 After Dark events have now ended.
The same principle applies to Oogie Boogie Bash tickets. Inspire Key holders and then all Magic Key holders received limited presale windows in June 2026, but the pass does not include admission to the Halloween party. A presale opportunity can help you buy before the general public, yet it is not a free or passholder-only event.
Why There Is No Reliable Magic Key Event Calendar
Disneyland publishes a resort-wide event calendar, but it does not publish a full year of Magic Key-only events. Extras are added, changed and removed throughout the year. Some are available for several months, while a giveaway can end as soon as its inventory is gone.
This is why old lists become misleading so quickly. The 2025 Lunar New Year keepsake, Pixar Putt parking offer and other past perks are not current 2026 benefits. Seasonal festivals such as Lunar New Year are also general Disneyland events, even when Disney gives Magic Key holders a special lanyard, price or pickup item during that year’s festival.
How to Find and Claim New Magic Key Offers
- Open the Magic Key portal in the Disneyland app. This is the most useful place to check for app-only food, current announcements and redemption instructions.
- Review Extras Unlocked before a visit. Read the date, location, supply limit, reservation requirement and guest rules for the specific offer.
- Follow Disneyland Magic Key’s official social accounts. Disney links directly to its Instagram and Facebook accounts from the benefits page.
- Confirm your pass is linked in the app. Disney requires the holder to be signed in to the MyDisney account connected to the valid pass to view and purchase the mobile-order exclusives.
- Check park access separately. An in-park extra does not override blockout dates or reservation availability. You still need a Magic Key valid for that date and a park reservation.
Bring the passholder with you when redeeming an offer. Disney generally requires the holder to be present and show the valid pass, and giveaways are often limited to one per holder. Do not assume one Magic Key lets every person in the group claim the same item.
Should You Plan a Visit Around a Magic Key Extra?
Usually, it is better to treat a giveaway or special food item as a bonus to a visit you already planned. “While supplies last” means the item can disappear, and a passholder offer does not guarantee a park reservation.
A confirmed reservation, paid ticket presale or limited event registration can justify planning around a date. For everything else, check the portal shortly before leaving and use the offer if it fits naturally into your day. That approach captures the extra value without letting a popcorn bucket or poster determine the entire visit.
