Disney’s Hollywood Studios has some excellent quick-service food, but the best restaurant depends on whether you’re looking for an interesting meal, somewhere cool to sit, or a quick bite between attractions.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is my pick for the best quick-service restaurant at Hollywood Studios. ABC Commissary is the better choice for an easy indoor break, Woody’s Lunch Box is a favorite in Toy Story Land, and Ronto Roasters is hard to beat for a quick Star Wars-themed meal. Fairfax Fare and Backlot Express are also worth considering, especially when you’re already nearby.
I’ve compared the restaurants based on their food, prices, seating, location, and convenience during a busy park day. Some are worth planning a meal around. Others are useful because they save you from walking halfway across Hollywood Studios just to eat.

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Has the Best Overall Quick-Service Food
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is the Hollywood Studios quick-service restaurant I would prioritize for a complete meal. Located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it combines an unusually immersive dining room with food that goes beyond standard theme park burgers and fries.
The restaurant resembles a working hangar bay in Black Spire Outpost. Cargo containers, industrial equipment, and Star Wars-inspired details make it feel like another environment within Galaxy’s Edge rather than an ordinary cafeteria.
Disney’s published menu includes the Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip, a crispy chicken dish served with macaroni and vegetables, for approximately $17. Another option is the Shaak Pot Roast with Kublag Mash, which has been listed around $20.
These dishes have unusual Star Wars names, but the actual food is approachable. You can find chicken, ribs, salads, and other familiar ingredients prepared with a little more creativity than the average quick-service meal.
Another advantage is the seating. Docking Bay 7 has an indoor dining area and an outdoor courtyard, making it more practical for a full lunch than some of the park’s smaller walk-up windows.
I would choose it when spending time around Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. A meal here fits naturally into a Galaxy’s Edge visit without requiring a walk across the park.
Best reason to eat here: The combination of interesting food, comfortable seating, and detailed Star Wars theming. The main drawback is that it can get busy during normal meal periods.
ABC Commissary Is Best for Indoor Seating and Variety
If I wanted an easy lunch in air conditioning, ABC Commissary would be near the top of my list.
Located on Commissary Lane, the restaurant has a large indoor dining room with an Art Deco-inspired studio theme. It doesn’t have the immersive atmosphere of Docking Bay 7, but that can be a worthwhile tradeoff when everyone needs a break from the Florida heat.
ABC Commissary also offers more variety than a typical burger stand. Disney’s menu includes a chicken club sandwich, pork carnitas tacos, shrimp tacos, and plant-based dishes.
For example, the published menu lists the chicken club sandwich around $14 and shrimp tacos around $13. The Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich has also been listed around $13.
That makes ABC Commissary a useful option for groups with different appetites. Someone can order a sandwich while another person chooses tacos or a plant-based meal.
The indoor seating is particularly valuable when Hollywood Studios is crowded or experiencing afternoon thunderstorms. I would rather eat comfortably here than search for an outdoor table in heavy heat or rain.
Best reason to eat here: A substantial meal, menu variety, and a comfortable indoor break. It is less memorable for its theme than Docking Bay 7, but very practical during a long park day.
Woody’s Lunch Box Is the Best Quick Service in Toy Story Land
Woody’s Lunch Box is one of the most recognizable quick-service locations at Hollywood Studios. It’s designed to look like a giant lunch box that Andy has transformed into a backyard food stand.
The menu focuses on nostalgic American comfort food with a Toy Story twist. The BBQ Brisket Melt, grilled cheese sandwiches, Totchos, and Lunch Box Tarts are the main reasons I would stop here.
The BBQ Brisket Melt combines shredded smoked brisket, cheese, pickles, and barbecue sauce on grilled sourdough bread. Disney has listed it around $15. The grilled three-cheese sandwich has been approximately $12, while Totchos have been around $11.
Woody’s is particularly convenient if you’re riding Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania!, or Alien Swirling Saucers. Rather than leaving Toy Story Land for a meal, you can stop here and continue exploring nearby attractions.
The biggest disadvantage is the seating. The restaurant relies on outdoor tables, which can become difficult to find around lunchtime. Even if your mobile order is ready, you may still have to look for somewhere to sit.
For that reason, I prefer Woody’s Lunch Box for an early lunch, a late lunch, or a casual meal when I’m already in Toy Story Land. If everyone wants a long, air-conditioned break, ABC Commissary is the better choice.
Best reason to eat here: Themed sandwiches, Totchos, and a fun Toy Story setting. Its limited outdoor seating is the main drawback.
Ronto Roasters Is Worth Visiting for the Ronto Wrap
Ronto Roasters is one of the easiest places to recommend when you want something flavorful without spending too much time eating.
This Galaxy’s Edge food stand features a large podracer engine and a pitmaster droid roasting meat. It’s one of the more entertaining quick-service environments in the park, even though the menu is relatively small.
The signature Ronto Wrap combines roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, peppercorn sauce, and tangy slaw inside pita bread. Disney has listed it for approximately $14.
The combination of smoky meat, creamy sauce, and crunchy slaw makes it more substantial than a basic snack, although it may not be as filling as a complete restaurant meal.
Ronto Roasters is also worth considering for breakfast. The Ronto Morning Wrap includes eggs, sausage, cheese, and sauce, making it convenient if you’re already exploring Galaxy’s Edge early.
One important detail is that Ronto Roasters may close during the afternoon rather than remaining open for dinner. Disney has listed operating hours ending around 3 p.m. on some dates. I would not save this location for an evening meal without checking the current schedule.
Best reason to eat here: The Ronto Wrap and the distinctive Star Wars setting. Choose Docking Bay 7 if you want a broader menu or more comfortable seating.

Fairfax Fare Is a Strong Sunset Boulevard Lunch Option
Fairfax Fare is worth considering if you want something more interesting than a burger while spending time around Sunset Boulevard.
Located near other quick-service stands in the Sunset Ranch Market area, Fairfax Fare specializes in savory waffle bowls filled with combinations of meat, mashed potatoes, sauces, and toppings.
Menu examples include a barbecue beef brisket bowl, a Korean barbecue pork belly bowl, and a Buffalo chicken bowl. Plant-based soba noodle bowls have also been offered.
Recent published menu prices put several of these bowls around $15 to $16. That’s comparable to a quick-service entrée elsewhere in the park, but the waffle-bowl presentation makes the food feel a little less ordinary.
Fairfax Fare’s main advantage is its location. If you’re spending time near The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, or the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater, you don’t need to walk back toward the center of the park for a substantial meal.
The disadvantage is that this is an outdoor dining area. On a hot or rainy afternoon, I would prefer an indoor restaurant unless I specifically wanted something from Fairfax Fare’s menu.
Best reason to eat here: Savory waffle bowls and a convenient Sunset Boulevard location. It’s a more interesting food choice than some of the neighboring stands.
Backlot Express Is Better Than Its Basic Menu Suggests
Backlot Express doesn’t have the most exciting food at Hollywood Studios, but it can be one of the more practical places to eat when the park is crowded.
Located near Echo Lake and Star Tours, the restaurant has a studio-backlot theme with props, industrial details, and plenty of seating space.
The menu is built around familiar quick-service meals, including burgers, sandwiches, chicken, and rice bowls. Disney has featured dishes such as a smoked barbecue pulled pork burger and a teriyaki chicken bowl.
The main reason I would consider Backlot Express is convenience. It has indoor seating, outdoor seating, and options that generally work for families who prefer straightforward food.
If the group doesn’t want a themed meal or an unfamiliar menu, Backlot Express can be a sensible compromise. I wouldn’t walk across Hollywood Studios just to eat here, but I also wouldn’t overlook it when I’m already near Echo Lake.
Best reason to eat here: Familiar food and useful seating near Star Tours. It’s a dependable fallback rather than a must-visit dining destination.
Rosie’s All-American Café and Catalina Eddie’s: Familiar Food on Sunset Boulevard
If you’re near the Sunset Boulevard attractions and want a straightforward meal, Rosie’s All-American Café and Catalina Eddie’s are two convenient alternatives.
Rosie’s All-American Café
Rosie’s focuses on classic American theme park food, including cheeseburgers, chicken strips, fries, and hot dogs.
Disney’s menu has included an Angus bacon cheeseburger around $14 and chicken strips with fries around $12. There’s also a plant-based hot dog option.
I would choose Rosie’s when someone in the group wants a familiar burger or chicken meal and we’re already in the area. It isn’t one of my top choices for interesting food, but the simple menu is useful for families with selective eaters.
Catalina Eddie’s
Catalina Eddie’s is another Sunset Boulevard stand, with Italian-American quick-service items such as pizza, chicken Caesar salad, and pasta dishes.
Pizza and pasta can be useful alternatives when the rest of the group doesn’t want burgers or sandwiches. Published menu prices for main dishes have generally been in the low-to-mid teens.
I would consider Catalina Eddie’s for convenience rather than treat it as one of the park’s standout meals.
Both locations use outdoor dining areas. If you’re planning to eat around midday, think about the heat and availability of tables before deciding.
Other Quick-Service Food at Hollywood Studios
There are additional quick-service stands and snack locations worth knowing about, even though I wouldn’t put them at the top of a ranking of complete meals.
Dockside Diner is an open-air location near Echo Lake, with a menu that has included specialty hot dogs and seafood or chicken salad rolls. It’s useful for a lighter meal when you’re nearby, but the selection is more limited than at ABC Commissary or Docking Bay 7.
FØØD by Swedish Chef is a Muppets-themed snack stop with savory snacks, frozen treats, and specialty nonalcoholic beverages. I would consider it for a snack rather than compare it directly with restaurants serving complete lunches and dinners.
Hollywood Studios also has smaller locations serving popcorn, pretzels, desserts, drinks, and other snacks. These can be useful between rides but aren’t necessarily substitutes for a complete meal.

How Much Does Quick-Service Food Cost at Hollywood Studios?
For a typical adult quick-service meal at Hollywood Studios, I would budget approximately $15 to $25 when including an entrée and a drink. You can spend less with a sandwich or smaller meal, or more with specialty food, dessert, and extras.

Where Should You Eat Quick Service by Land?
Hollywood Studios has several popular attractions spread across different areas. I wouldn’t cross the entire park for a marginally better lunch unless there was a specific restaurant I really wanted to try.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: Choose Docking Bay 7 for a complete meal with seating or Ronto Roasters for a faster wrap when it is open.
Toy Story Land: Woody’s Lunch Box makes the most sense when you’re already riding Slinky Dog Dash or Toy Story Mania!. Be prepared for outdoor seating.
Commissary Lane: ABC Commissary is a strong choice when you want to sit indoors, cool down, and enjoy a substantial meal.
Echo Lake: Backlot Express is practical near Star Tours. Dockside Diner is another nearby option when you want something smaller and its limited menu suits you.
Sunset Boulevard: Fairfax Fare has the most interesting menu of the nearby quick-service stands for my taste. Rosie’s and Catalina Eddie’s are useful for familiar food, especially when you’re already near the major attractions or planning your evening around Fantasmic!.

Best Hollywood Studios Quick Service for Breakfast
Not every Hollywood Studios quick-service restaurant serves breakfast, and several of the strongest lunch locations don’t open until later in the morning.
Ronto Roasters is one of my favorite breakfast options because of the Ronto Morning Wrap. Woody’s Lunch Box also serves breakfast items, including a breakfast bowl and other morning offerings.
Breakfast operating hours may differ from regular lunch and dinner service, especially during Early Theme Park Entry. Check the current schedule if you’re trying to eat before your first major ride.

How to Use Mobile Order at Hollywood Studios
Mobile ordering is one of the easiest ways to make quick-service dining more convenient at Hollywood Studios, particularly when you’re trying to fit meals around Lightning Lane return times and show schedules.
Through the My Disney Experience app, you can select a participating restaurant, choose an available pickup window, customize eligible menu items, and pay before arriving at the counter.
When you reach the restaurant during your chosen arrival window, tap the option indicating that you’re there and ready for the kitchen to prepare the food. The app will notify you when the order is ready for pickup.
I would check mobile-order availability before the standard lunch rush rather than waiting until everyone is hungry. The most convenient pickup windows may be less available at popular locations during peak periods.
Mobile ordering doesn’t guarantee an immediate meal or an available table. Woody’s Lunch Box, for example, can still have limited seating even when your food is ready.

When Is the Best Time to Eat at Hollywood Studios?
For a quick-service lunch, I would generally aim for an early meal around 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. or a later meal after the busiest midday period.
This can be especially useful at Woody’s Lunch Box and the Sunset Boulevard stands, where outdoor seating becomes less comfortable when crowds and temperatures rise.
During the hottest hours, I would lean toward ABC Commissary, Docking Bay 7, or Backlot Express because they offer indoor seating.
For dinner, check the closing times rather than assuming every restaurant remains open until the park closes. Ronto Roasters may stop serving in the afternoon, while other quick-service stands can have shorter schedules on particular dates.
If you’re attending Fantasmic!, I would also avoid leaving dinner until the last minute. Allow enough time to eat and reach the theater before your desired arrival time.

Which Hollywood Studios Quick-Service Restaurant Would I Choose?
Docking Bay 7 would be my first choice if I wanted the best overall combination of food and Disney theming. It has an interesting menu, comfortable seating, and a setting that makes lunch feel like part of visiting Galaxy’s Edge.
If I needed air conditioning and familiar food for a group, I’d choose ABC Commissary. For a more casual meal in Toy Story Land, Woody’s Lunch Box is appealing, although I would try to avoid the busiest seating periods.
Ronto Roasters is an excellent choice for a quick wrap, while Fairfax Fare stands out for savory waffle bowls near Sunset Boulevard.
