There is one important current change to know about. Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel will temporarily close in its entirety beginning October 12, 2026 for comprehensive enhancements. Disney Explorers Lodge and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel will remain open during the closure.
So Hong Kong Disneyland still has three official hotel properties, but only two will be operating while the Disneyland Hotel renovation is underway.

1. Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel
Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is the resort’s classic upscale property. Its design takes inspiration from Victorian seaside hotels, with landscaped grounds, an indoor pool, restaurants and more formal surroundings than the other two Disney hotels.
The hotel has 400 rooms, making it the smallest of the three by room count.
Its restaurants include Enchanted Garden Restaurant and Crystal Lotus, and higher-end room categories include access to Kingdom Club services.
The major issue for upcoming trips is availability. Hong Kong Disneyland has announced that the entire hotel will temporarily close beginning October 12, 2026 while Disney carries out comprehensive enhancements. Disney has not announced a reopening date.

2. Disney Explorers Lodge
Disney Explorers Lodge is the largest Hong Kong Disneyland hotel, with 750 rooms.
Its theme revolves around travel, exploration and cultures from around the world, with landscaped gardens and design influences from Asia, Oceania, South America and Africa.
The hotel has an outdoor pool, several dining options and extensive grounds. Of the three properties, I think it strikes the strongest balance between immersive theming and a relaxed resort atmosphere.
It is also one of the two Disney hotels that will continue operating while Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is closed for renovation.
3. Disney’s Hollywood Hotel
Disney’s Hollywood Hotel has 600 rooms and uses an Art Deco Hollywood theme with Disney characters and movie-inspired details throughout the property.
The hotel has undergone significant changes in recent years, including refreshed rooms and updated dining. It also has its distinctive piano-shaped swimming pool.
This is generally the Disney hotel I would compare first when staying inside the resort matters more than having the amenities and atmosphere of Explorers Lodge or Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel.
