Disney currently divides breakfast into two morning periods:

The exact characters are not something I would promise in advance. Disney can change the lineup, and its current restaurant information describes Disney Friends appearing during the meal rather than guaranteeing specific characters.
During my own breakfast, the character interaction was one of the biggest reasons the higher buffet price made sense. Instead of spending part of a Park day waiting for photos, we could eat while enjoying the character experience.
What Does the Enchanted Garden Breakfast Buffet Include?
Enchanted Garden is an international buffet, so the food goes well beyond a basic continental hotel breakfast.
During my visit, the selection included a mix of Western and Asian breakfast foods such as eggs, pancakes, waffles, noodles, dim sum, congee, fried rice, breakfast meats, fruit, pastries, yogurt and cereal.
The exact buffet changes, so I would not choose it because you expect one particular dish to be available. Disney currently describes the buffet more broadly as a selection of Hong Kong, Asian and Western dishes.
For me, the variety was good enough that the meal did not feel like I was paying solely for Disney characters. That said, the characters are still a major part of what separates this from a much cheaper breakfast elsewhere in Hong Kong.
Is Breakfast Included With a Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Room?
Do not assume breakfast is included with every Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel reservation.
Disney sells specific hotel offers that bundle a room with buffet breakfast, but breakfast is not something I would treat as an automatic benefit of simply reserving a room.
When comparing rates, check exactly what your booking includes. A room-and-breakfast package may be more useful than comparing the room rate and restaurant price separately, but Disney’s promotions and eligibility dates change.

Is the Enchanted Garden Breakfast Worth HK$358?
Whether HK$358-plus per adult makes sense depends heavily on whether you value the character experience.
I enjoyed the buffet and found the food better than I expected, but I would view this primarily as a Disney character meal rather than simply an expensive way to get eggs and coffee.
The price is easier to justify if you:
- Want Disney character interactions as part of breakfast
- Prefer a large buffet with both Asian and Western options
- Plan a slower morning at the hotel
- Have children who will get significant value from the character experience
- Want to make breakfast one of the memorable experiences of the trip
I would be less inclined to pay for it if the goal is simply to eat something quickly before rope drop. In that situation, you are paying for parts of the experience you will probably rush through.
During my stay, doing the buffet once felt like the right balance. I enjoyed having a relaxed character breakfast, but I would not personally build the cost into every morning of a multi-night stay.
Do You Need to Stay at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel to Eat Breakfast Here?

How Far in Advance Should You Book Breakfast?
I would reserve Enchanted Garden once your hotel and Park plans are firm rather than counting on a walk-in table.
The combination of buffet dining and Disney character appearances makes it different from simply finding somewhere to buy breakfast on the morning of your visit.
If your trip is built around getting into Hong Kong Disneyland early, choose the breakfast time before finalizing the rest of the morning. A long buffet directly before Park opening can work against an otherwise aggressive Park strategy.
