Breakfast at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is served at Enchanted Garden Restaurant, where the main attraction is a large international buffet combined with Disney character appearances. After eating there on multiple stays, I think it makes the most sense when you actually value the character experience rather than simply wanting a convenient breakfast before the park.
The food selection is broad, the setting is much calmer than meeting characters inside the park, and the meal can be a memorable part of a Hong Kong Disneyland trip. But it is also a substantial breakfast that takes time, so I would not automatically book it for every morning of a stay.
Important for late 2026: Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel will temporarily close in its entirety beginning October 12, 2026 for comprehensive enhancements. Enchanted Garden Restaurant will therefore be unavailable during the closure. Disney has not announced a reopening date.
What Breakfast at Enchanted Garden Is Actually Like
Enchanted Garden is inside Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and is designed like a Victorian garden conservatory. The room feels much more elegant than a typical hotel buffet, with tall windows, greenery and enough space that the character dining experience does not feel like a quick-service restaurant with costumes added.
The current breakfast period runs from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
Disney describes Enchanted Garden as a buffet featuring Hong Kong, Asian, Chinese and Western food, with Disney Friends appearing during the meal.
That combination is really what you are booking: a substantial breakfast plus character interactions without using part of your park day to wait in character queues.
The Characters Are the Biggest Reason I Would Book It
During my own breakfasts here, the character interactions were the part that made the meal feel different from an ordinary expensive hotel buffet.
Characters made their way around the dining room while we ate, giving us time for photos rather than requiring us to leave the table and line up somewhere else.
On one of my visits, we met Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. I would not book expecting that exact lineup, though. Disney currently says Disney Friends appear at Enchanted Garden without guaranteeing which specific characters will be present.
That uncertainty is normal for character dining, so think of the characters as part of the experience rather than booking specifically to meet one particular Disney character.
What We Ate at the Breakfast Buffet
The buffet was much broader than the standard eggs-and-pastries hotel breakfast I was expecting.
During my visits, the selection included a mix of Western and Asian breakfast foods such as:
- Eggs and omelets
- Waffles and pancakes
- Bacon, sausage and other hot breakfast items
- Dim sum and steamed buns
- Congee and toppings
- Noodles and rice dishes
- Fruit, yogurt and cereal
- Pastries and breads
- Coffee, tea and juices
Disney changes buffet dishes, so I would not count on one specific food being available during your visit. The consistent theme is variety rather than a fixed menu.
I found the quality good overall, but I would not book Enchanted Garden because I thought it was the best breakfast food available in Hong Kong. The combination of food, setting and Disney characters is what gives it value.
Does Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Include Breakfast?
Do not assume breakfast is automatically included with every Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel room.
Disney sells specific room-and-breakfast offers that bundle accommodation with designated breakfast buffets, but whether breakfast is included depends on the rate or package you booked.
Check your confirmation rather than assuming a hotel reservation automatically includes Enchanted Garden.

Do You Have to Stay at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel?
Enchanted Garden is a hotel restaurant rather than an amenity restricted only to overnight guests.
Disney accepts dining reservations for Enchanted Garden, subject to availability. If you want to eat there without staying at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, I would make the reservation before building your morning around it.
Hong Kong Disneyland currently lists +852 3510-6000 for hotel dining reservations and enquiries. Disney also offers Priority Seating at selected resort hotel restaurants, including Enchanted Garden.
Breakfast Runs From 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM
The current Enchanted Garden breakfast period is 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
I would choose your time based on what comes after breakfast rather than automatically assuming the earliest seating is best.
If you have a full Hong Kong Disneyland park day ahead of you and want to maximize the morning, an early breakfast makes more sense.
If this is a resort morning or your check-out day, a later breakfast lets you slow down and enjoy the character experience rather than watching the clock.

I Wouldn’t Rush This Breakfast Before Rope Drop
One mistake I would avoid is booking character breakfast and then trying to finish it as quickly as possible so you can race into the park.
A big part of what you are paying for is the slower experience: eating from a large buffet, waiting for character visits and getting photos without standing in separate queues.
If your only priority that morning is getting onto attractions as early as possible, I would rather eat something quick and save Enchanted Garden for a different morning.
That is especially true if you have access to Early Park Entry. Character breakfast and an aggressive early-entry strategy are competing uses of the same morning.
Who Gets the Most Value From Enchanted Garden?
I think this breakfast works particularly well for families who want character photos, Disney fans who enjoy character dining and anyone who wants one memorable resort meal rather than treating breakfast purely as fuel.
It also makes sense if you are already staying at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and want to spend part of the trip actually enjoying the hotel instead of leaving for the park immediately every morning.
I would be less enthusiastic about it if:
- You eat very little at breakfast
- Character photos are not important to you
- You want to be at the park as early as possible
- Your main priority is finding the cheapest breakfast
- You are planning several mornings at the hotel and do not need the character experience repeatedly
Is Enchanted Garden Worth Doing More Than Once?
For me, once during a stay is enough.
I like the food and enjoyed the characters, but the part that makes the meal special is also what makes it unnecessary to repeat every morning.
Doing it once gives you the photos, the atmosphere and the full buffet experience. On the other mornings, I would rather spend less time on breakfast or try something different.
That was the best balance for my own stays at the hotel.
What Changes When Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Closes?
Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel will temporarily close completely beginning October 12, 2026 for comprehensive enhancements.
Because Enchanted Garden is inside the hotel, the restaurant will be unavailable during that closure. Disney has not announced a reopening date.
Disney Explorers Lodge and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel will remain operational, so guests visiting during the closure should look to those hotels for resort dining instead.
I would check the official Enchanted Garden Restaurant page before a future trip because breakfast hours, pricing and operating status can change when the hotel reopens.
Would I Book the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Breakfast Again?
I would, but I would treat it as an experience rather than an everyday breakfast.
The buffet is broad enough that everyone can find something to eat, but the Disney characters are what make Enchanted Garden different from simply finding breakfast elsewhere.
For one morning of a Hong Kong Disneyland stay, I think that combination works well. If character dining is not important to you, I would spend the money elsewhere and keep the morning flexible.
