Tokyo Disneyland Hotel Has a 24-Hour Coin Laundry

Yes. Tokyo Disneyland Hotel has a self-service coin laundry room for hotel guests. It is located on the first floor, stays available 24 hours a day, and has both washing machines and dryers.

A washer currently costs ¥500 per load, while a dryer costs ¥100 for 10 minutes. The washing machines automatically dispense detergent, so you do not need to pack or buy laundry detergent just to do a load.

You will need your room key to enter the laundry room.

Where Is the Laundry Room?

The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel laundry room is on the first floor of the hotel.

It is reserved for registered hotel guests, and Tokyo Disney requires a room key to enter.

The laundry room is available 24 hours a day, which makes it much easier to fit a load around park plans instead of sacrificing part of the afternoon.

Tokyo Disney also marks the Laundry Room on its official Tokyo Disneyland Hotel floor map.

How Much Does Laundry Cost at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel?

LaundryCurrent Price
Washing machine¥500 per load
Dryer¥100 per 10 minutes
DetergentAutomatically dispensed by washer

So if one load needs 30 minutes in the dryer, I would budget about ¥800 total: ¥500 for the wash and ¥300 for drying.

The final amount depends on how long your clothes need in the dryer, but self-service laundry is considerably more practical for a suitcase full of everyday clothes than paying for professional hotel laundry one item at a time.

You Do Not Need to Bring Laundry Detergent

The washing machines at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel currently have an automatic detergent dispenser.

That is particularly useful if you’re packing light for Japan. I would not take up suitcase space with detergent pods or plan a convenience-store stop solely for laundry soap.

Just bring the clothes you want to wash and your hotel room key.

The Laundry Room Is Open 24 Hours

Being able to wash clothes at any hour is useful at a Disney hotel because daytime is usually the worst time to deal with laundry.

I would normally plan a load for:

  • After returning from the park at night
  • Early in the morning before getting ready
  • During a midday hotel break
  • A non-park evening during a longer Japan trip

The hotel’s location makes the midday option especially realistic. Tokyo Disneyland is only about a one-minute walk away, so returning to the room and starting laundry does not require a hotel shuttle or long train ride.

My guide to how far Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is from the park explains that proximity in more detail.

Tokyo Disneyland Hotel Also Has a Paid Laundry Service

If I do not want to use the self-service machines, the hotel also offers a separate paid laundry service.

Tokyo Disney instructs guests to complete the laundry list provided in the guest room and call the Service Hotline from the room telephone.

If the service is requested by 8:00 a.m., Disney says the laundry can be returned the same day after 6:00 p.m.

This is the option I would consider for clothing I do not want to wash myself or when I would rather pay for convenience than spend time moving clothes between machines.

Tokyo Disney does not currently publish the complete item-by-item laundry-service price list on the main hotel services page, so I would check the current laundry list in the room before sending anything out.

Self-Service Laundry Makes Packing Light Much Easier

The laundry room becomes particularly useful if Tokyo Disney is part of a longer Japan trip.

Instead of packing a clean outfit for every day, I can plan one laundry load partway through the trip and reuse the same travel wardrobe.

I think that matters most for:

  • Summer visits when clothes get sweaty quickly
  • Families traveling with children
  • Trips combining Tokyo Disney with other parts of Japan
  • Travelers trying to use only carry-on luggage
  • Rainy park days when clothing may need to be washed or dried

Not Every Tokyo Disney Hotel Has a Coin Laundry

This is also a useful feature when comparing Disney Hotels.

Tokyo Disney currently provides guest laundry rooms at:

  • Tokyo Disneyland Hotel
  • Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel
  • Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel
  • Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel

Tokyo Disney currently says coin laundry rooms are not available at Disney Ambassador Hotel or Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta.

If doing your own laundry is important during a longer stay, that is a practical difference worth considering when choosing between Disney Hotels.

My Tokyo Disneyland hotels guide compares the broader hotel options around the resort.

You Do Not Need to Choose Another Hotel Just for Laundry

The biggest change from older advice is that I would no longer recommend choosing a nearby hotel solely because you need access to a washer and dryer.

Tokyo Disneyland Hotel itself currently has exactly that: a 24-hour self-service laundry room with washing machines, dryers and automatically dispensed detergent.

If you are comparing hotels for other reasons such as price or transportation, my guide to hotels near Tokyo Disneyland is still useful. But laundry alone is not a reason to rule out Tokyo Disneyland Hotel.
