The other thing to remember is that these are averages, not a forecast. Southern California can still get unusually warm days in November, while an occasional storm can make a Disneyland day much cooler and wetter than normal.

For Disneyland, that usually means comfortable park weather during the middle of the day followed by a noticeable temperature drop after sunset.
What Does Disneyland Feel Like in November?
November generally feels like mild Southern California fall weather rather than winter.
- Morning: Often cool enough for a sweatshirt or light jacket.
- Afternoon: Usually comfortable and sometimes warm enough for short sleeves.
- After sunset: Temperatures fall quickly and can feel chilly if you have been outside all day.
- Rain: Possible, but most November days do not receive measurable rainfall.
One reason I like this kind of weather for Disneyland is that you can spend a full day walking around the parks without dealing with the persistent summer heat. The tradeoff is carrying an extra layer for later.
Disneyland Weather in Early November
Early November tends to be warmer than the end of the month.
Typical daily highs at the beginning of November are around the mid-70s, with nighttime temperatures in the mid-50s. Warm spells can push afternoon temperatures considerably higher.
If I were visiting during the first week or two of November, I would plan for short sleeves during the afternoon but still bring something warmer for the evening.
Disneyland Weather in Mid-November
By the middle of November, daytime temperatures are generally in the low to mid-70s, while evenings are commonly in the low 50s.
This is probably the easiest part of the month to underestimate. A sunny afternoon can feel warm, but once the sun goes down and you are standing still waiting for nighttime entertainment, a jacket can suddenly feel necessary.
Disneyland Weather in Late November
Late November is usually a little cooler. Typical highs decrease toward about 70°F by the end of the month, while nighttime lows can fall into the upper 40s.
That does not mean every Thanksgiving week will be cold. Anaheim can still experience warm weather well into fall, so check the actual forecast before leaving home rather than packing entirely from historical averages.

Yes, it can rain at Disneyland in November, but November is still relatively dry.
NOAA’s Anaheim climate normals show an average of about 1.01 inches of precipitation during November. Anaheim averages only about 2.7 November days with at least 0.01 inch of precipitation.
So I would not plan a November Disneyland trip expecting rain, but I also would not assume every day will be dry.
A small poncho or packable waterproof shell is easy enough to carry if rain appears in the forecast. There is usually no reason to bring heavy rain gear unless an actual Southern California storm is expected during your dates.
Is Disneyland Cold in November?

An average low around 53°F sounds fairly mild, but that temperature feels cooler after spending hours outside, particularly when you are sitting or standing still for a parade, fireworks or another nighttime show.
I would not bring a heavy winter coat for a typical November trip. A hoodie, fleece or lightweight jacket is much more useful because you can put it in a backpack during the warmer part of the day.
What to Wear to Disneyland in November
Layers are the easiest answer.
- T-shirt or light shirt: Good for most mild afternoons.
- Light sweatshirt or jacket: Useful in the morning and after sunset.
- Comfortable pants or shorts: Either can work depending on the forecast and your tolerance for cooler evenings.
- Comfortable walking shoes: More important than almost anything else you pack.
- Compact poncho or rain shell: Worth adding if rain is in the forecast.
- Sunscreen and sunglasses: November still has plenty of sunny Southern California days.

Yes, I would bring a light jacket or sweatshirt to Disneyland in November.
You may not need it for several hours in the afternoon, but it is useful enough after dark that I would rather carry one than have to buy one in the park.
If the forecast shows nighttime temperatures falling into the 40s, I would bring a slightly warmer layer, especially if you plan to stay until park closing.
November Rain and Disneyland Rides
Light rain does not automatically mean Disneyland shuts down. Many indoor attractions can continue operating, although outdoor rides and entertainment may be temporarily affected by weather conditions.
If rain is expected, I would prioritize outdoor attractions while conditions are good and save indoor rides for wetter parts of the day.

November Is Also the Start of Disneyland’s Holiday Season
Weather is not the only reason November feels different at Disneyland. The resort’s holiday celebration begins during the month, bringing seasonal decorations, entertainment and holiday versions of select attractions.
For 2026, Disneyland has announced that Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will begin on November 18, 2026. Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure also begins November 18.
If your trip falls on both sides of that date, early and late November can feel like two very different Disneyland visits even though the weather is relatively similar.
Is November a Good Time to Visit Disneyland?
From a weather standpoint, I think November is one of the easier months for spending long days at Disneyland.
You usually avoid the strongest summer heat, daytime temperatures remain comfortable, and persistent rain is uncommon. The biggest packing challenge is simply preparing for the difference between afternoon and nighttime temperatures.
Crowds are a separate question. Holiday events, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving can all affect attendance, so good weather does not necessarily mean a quiet park.
