The Disney World monorail map shows three routes: the Resort Monorail, Express Monorail and EPCOT Monorail. They connect Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), and three Disney resort hotels. The monorail does not go to Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. To travel between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT by monorail, you must change trains at the TTC.
Use the map below to see where each line goes, then check the station order before boarding. The Resort Monorail makes several stops in one direction, so choosing the right line can save you an unnecessary trip around Seven Seas Lagoon.
Where Does the Disney World Monorail Go?
The monorail serves two Disney World theme parks, three resort hotels and the Transportation and Ticket Center. The TTC is the transfer hub near the Magic Kingdom parking lot. All three lines serve the TTC, but they do not all stop at the same destinations.

There is no direct Magic Kingdom-to-EPCOT monorail. You travel to the TTC on the Resort or Express line and transfer to the EPCOT line. The same transfer is required in reverse.

Resort Monorail Stops in Order
The Resort Monorail makes five stops on a continuous loop around Seven Seas Lagoon. Starting at Magic Kingdom, the stations are:
- Magic Kingdom
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
After Grand Floridian, the monorail returns to Magic Kingdom and repeats the loop. You can board at any of these five stations. It does not reverse direction to take you to an earlier stop.
For example, Contemporary Resort is the next Resort Monorail stop after Magic Kingdom. But to get from Contemporary back to Magic Kingdom on the monorail, you continue past the TTC, Polynesian and Grand Floridian first. Walking from the Contemporary to Magic Kingdom can therefore be quicker if the walking path works for you.
The Resort Monorail is useful for hotel dining and visiting the three Disney World monorail resorts. You do not need to be staying at a monorail hotel to use it. If you are staying at the Polynesian, you may also be able to walk to the TTC to board the EPCOT line directly.
Express Monorail: TTC to Magic Kingdom
The Express Monorail has just two stops: Transportation and Ticket Center and Magic Kingdom. It does not stop at the Contemporary, Polynesian or Grand Floridian.
If you drive to Magic Kingdom, you park in the main parking area and travel through the TTC before reaching the park entrance. The Express Monorail is normally the most direct monorail option. The ferryboat across Seven Seas Lagoon is another choice, and comparing the two queues can be helpful after the fireworks.

EPCOT Monorail Map and Route
The EPCOT Monorail runs between two stations:
- Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)
- EPCOT’s main entrance, near Spaceship Earth
There are no intermediate hotel stops. On the way to EPCOT, the track curves through part of the park and gives riders elevated views before reaching the station. It does not go to EPCOT’s International Gateway entrance near World Showcase.
Guests coming from the Contemporary, Polynesian or Grand Floridian must reach the TTC to use the EPCOT line. No monorail resort has a direct train to EPCOT without that connection.
How to Take the Monorail From Magic Kingdom to EPCOT
The transfer is straightforward once you know the TTC is the connection between the two parks.
- Exit Magic Kingdom and follow signs for the Express Monorail.
- Ride to the Transportation and Ticket Center.
- Exit the train and follow signs to the EPCOT Monorail platform.
- Board the EPCOT train and ride to the main entrance of EPCOT.
To travel from EPCOT to Magic Kingdom, reverse the steps: ride to the TTC, then board the Express or Resort Monorail toward Magic Kingdom. Allow extra time for platform changes and queues, particularly around park opening and closing.

Which Disney World Parks and Hotels Have Monorail Stops?
Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are the only Disney World theme parks served by the monorail. The three Disney hotels with Resort Monorail stations are Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Village Resort and Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
The monorail does not serve Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, Disney’s BoardWalk, the water parks, Orlando International Airport or most Disney hotels. Disney buses, boats, the Skyliner or other transportation options are needed for those destinations.
Some hotels are close to monorail stations without having their own stop. Bay Lake Tower uses the Contemporary Resort’s monorail station, for example. When choosing accommodations, compare the station location with other transportation options in my Disney World hotels guide.
Disney World Monorail Hours
Disney’s published regular monorail schedule is based on the opening and closing times of Magic Kingdom and EPCOT:

Hours can change for special events, maintenance, weather or other operational needs. Check the official Walt Disney World monorail information and the My Disney Experience app before relying on the last train. Lines can be especially busy after Magic Kingdom fireworks.
Is the Disney World Monorail Free?
The Walt Disney World monorail is free to ride, including for visitors who are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel. You do not need a separate monorail ticket. A theme park ticket is required if you plan to enter Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, but not simply to ride between stations.
That makes the Resort Monorail a convenient way to visit the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian for dining or sightseeing. Hotel parking and certain restaurants may have their own access or reservation rules, so complimentary transportation does not guarantee parking at a hotel.
Monorail Accessibility
Disney provides ramps or elevators to access monorail platforms for guests using wheelchairs and electric conveyance vehicles. Cast Members can assist with accessible boarding, including a portable ramp where needed. Medical strollers used by guests with disabilities are treated as wheelchairs. Ask a Cast Member at the station if you need assistance.
