If I had to choose the best hotel near EPCOT, I would stay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. You can walk to EPCOT’s International Gateway, you have the entire Crescent Lake resort area outside your door, and Stormalong Bay makes the hotel worth spending time at even when you’re not in a park.
But Beach Club isn’t automatically the best choice for everyone. If I’m trying to spend less, I look seriously at the Swan and Dolphin. If I want a quieter Deluxe Resort, I prefer Yacht Club. And if walking isn’t important but convenient EPCOT transportation is, Riviera and Caribbean Beach become much more interesting because of the Disney Skyliner.
I’ve stayed around this part of Disney World enough to think of the EPCOT hotels less as one group and more as different solutions to the same problem. Here is how I would narrow them down.

Why Beach Club Is My Pick for the Best Hotel Near EPCOT
Disney’s Beach Club Resort wins for me because the location changes the way I use EPCOT.
Instead of treating EPCOT like a park that requires a transportation plan, I can simply walk over to the International Gateway entrance on the World Showcase side. Disney officially lists Beach Club as being within walking distance of EPCOT.
That’s especially valuable if I’m visiting during one of EPCOT’s festivals. I can spend the afternoon somewhere else, return to the hotel and then walk back into World Showcase for dinner without dealing with another bus ride.
The other reason I keep coming back to Beach Club is that the resort itself doesn’t feel like a place I only sleep between park days. Stormalong Bay is a 3-acre pool complex shared with Yacht Club, with a lazy river, sand-bottom areas and a large waterslide.
There are also enough dining options around Crescent Lake that I don’t feel trapped into eating at the hotel. Beach Club itself has Beaches & Cream, Cape May Cafe and Beach Club Marketplace, while Yacht Club and the BoardWalk are a short walk away.
Yacht Club: I’d Choose It Over Beach Club for a Quieter Stay
Yacht Club and Beach Club share enough amenities that choosing between them can feel surprisingly difficult.
Both are within walking distance of EPCOT and both have access to Stormalong Bay. The difference for me is atmosphere. Yacht Club feels a little quieter and more restrained, while Beach Club feels brighter and more casual.
If I were taking an adults-only trip and wanted to stay near EPCOT without being directly on the BoardWalk, I would seriously consider Yacht Club.
It also puts Yachtsman Steakhouse, Crew’s Cup Lounge and Ale & Compass nearby, which gives Yacht Club a different dining personality from its sister resort.
BoardWalk Inn: Best If You Want Something Going on at Night
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is another hotel I would put near the top of the list, particularly if I’m traveling without young kids.
You can walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, but the bigger appeal is stepping outside at night and already being on Disney’s BoardWalk. Restaurants, bars and evening activity are right outside the resort instead of requiring another trip somewhere else.
For someone who spends a lot of time at EPCOT but wants their hotel area to stay lively after leaving the park, BoardWalk may actually be a better fit than Beach Club.
I wouldn’t choose between these resorts based purely on which one is a few minutes closer to EPCOT. I have a separate comparison for the closest hotel to EPCOT. Here the difference is what you want waiting for you outside the park.
Swan and Dolphin: The Hotels I Check When Disney Deluxe Prices Get Too High
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin occupy one of the most useful locations anywhere at Disney World. They sit in the Crescent Lake area with pedestrian and boat access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, but they’re Marriott-operated rather than Disney-owned hotels.
That distinction can work in your favor. Whenever Beach Club, Yacht Club and BoardWalk prices start getting difficult to justify, I check the Swan and Dolphin before giving up on the area entirely.
I’ve stayed at the Swan several times when using Marriott points, and I think these hotels make the most sense for people who care more about location and traditional hotel amenities than heavy Disney theming.
The newer Swan Reserve is another option in the same general area if you prefer a more modern hotel feel.

Riviera Is My Pick If You Want the Skyliner Instead of Walking
Disney’s Riviera Resort isn’t part of the Crescent Lake walking cluster, but I still consider it one of the better places to stay if EPCOT is a major focus of the trip.
The reason is simple: Riviera has its own Disney Skyliner station. The Skyliner connects the resort with EPCOT’s International Gateway, putting you on the same side of the park as the walkable EPCOT resorts without requiring a bus.
I would choose Riviera over Beach Club if I cared less about walking and more about having an upscale resort with excellent dining and easy access to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
Topolino’s Terrace is another major advantage here, particularly if resort dining is part of the vacation rather than something you only do when you’re too tired to leave.
Caribbean Beach Is the More Affordable Disney Option I’d Consider
If Beach Club prices are too high but you still want straightforward EPCOT transportation, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort makes much more sense to me than choosing a random resort and relying entirely on buses.
Caribbean Beach is a major Disney Skyliner hub, with gondola transportation toward EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
The tradeoff is the size of the resort. Room location matters much more here because Caribbean Beach is spread across several villages. Being able to take the Skyliner to EPCOT is great, but it doesn’t mean every room is equally convenient to the station.

Where Should You Stay Near EPCOT?
I would narrow it down based on what you’re actually willing to pay for.

- Best value in the walkable EPCOT area: Swan and Dolphin
- Best upscale Skyliner option: Riviera Resort
- Best Moderate Resort for EPCOT access: Caribbean Beach
Personally, Beach Club still comes out on top. Being able to walk out of the hotel and into World Showcase is difficult to beat, particularly when EPCOT is one of the parks I’m visiting more than once.
But I wouldn’t pay any price for that convenience. If the Swan or Dolphin were significantly less expensive for my dates, I would happily stay there instead. And if I wanted the Disney resort experience without paying Beach Club prices, Caribbean Beach would be the first Skyliner resort I’d compare.
