If I wanted the best Marriott hotel near Disney World, I would start with the Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve. They are Marriott Bonvoy hotels located inside Walt Disney World, within walking distance of EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, and they get Disney benefits that most nearby Marriott properties don’t.
But they aren’t automatically the best choice for every trip. JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek is where I’d look for a more luxurious resort stay, Orlando World Center Marriott makes more sense if a huge pool and water park matter to the family, and several Fairfield, Residence Inn and SpringHill Suites properties can cost considerably less while still keeping you close to Disney.
I’ve stayed at several Marriott properties around Disney World over the years, and the biggest thing I’ve learned is that “near Disney” doesn’t tell me nearly enough. I care much more about how I actually get to the parks, what the hotel charges beyond the room rate, and whether it gives me any real Disney benefits.

Shuttle schedules and hotel benefits can change, so I always verify the current transportation schedule before booking around it.
The Closest Marriott Hotels to Disney World Are the Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve
This is the biggest thing I would want to know if I’m searching for the closest Marriott to Disney World.
The Walt Disney World Swan, Walt Disney World Dolphin and Walt Disney World Swan Reserve are not merely hotels somewhere near Disney. They sit inside Walt Disney World Resort in the EPCOT resort area.
That puts EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Disney’s BoardWalk right around the hotel complex. I can walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios or use complimentary transportation instead.
For me, that’s a much bigger advantage than shaving a few minutes off a drive from another hotel.
If walking to a park is your priority, I also compare them with the other hotels within walking distance to Disney World.
Why the Swan and Dolphin Are Different From Most Marriott Hotels Near Disney
The Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve are unusual because I can earn or use Marriott Bonvoy benefits while also getting several advantages associated with staying inside Walt Disney World.
Current benefits include 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry, access to Extended Evening Hours on eligible nights, the ability to purchase eligible Lightning Lane passes beginning seven days before the stay, complimentary Disney transportation and complimentary standard theme park parking with the hotel room key.
That makes these three the Marriott properties I would compare first if the Disney parks are the main reason for my trip.
One thing I would still check before booking is the complete hotel cost. These properties can have resort and hotel-parking fees, so using Bonvoy points doesn’t necessarily mean every part of the stay is free.
Walt Disney World Swan
If I wanted the Disney location and Marriott Bonvoy benefits without staying in one of Disney’s own resorts, the Swan would be one of my first searches.
The location between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios is the main attraction for me. Being able to walk out in the morning rather than build my entire day around a hotel shuttle changes the trip more than a long list of resort amenities does.
Walt Disney World Dolphin
I’ve always liked the Dolphin for essentially the same reason: it gives me a Marriott booking inside the Disney bubble.
I can walk toward EPCOT or Hollywood Studios, use the boats or other complimentary Disney transportation, and still earn or redeem Marriott Bonvoy points depending on the booking.
If someone asked me whether there is actually a Marriott on Disney property, this complex is the answer I would give them.
Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
The Swan Reserve gives me another Bonvoy option in the same general EPCOT resort area and receives the same major Disney guest benefits.
I would compare all three rather than assuming the Swan, Dolphin or Reserve will always be cheapest. Rates and point requirements can move enough that my preferred choice may change from one set of dates to another.
For Luxury, I’d Look at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek
JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa is the Marriott I’d look at when I want Disney nearby but don’t necessarily want the trip to feel like I’m inside a theme park resort every minute.
I’ve enjoyed the contrast here. After a long Disney day, the hotel feels much more like an upscale resort retreat. There are multiple restaurants, a spa and a more polished atmosphere than I expect from a basic park hotel.
Marriott currently describes it as a Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel and provides scheduled shuttle transportation to Walt Disney World and Disney Springs. That transportation is included as one of the property’s resort-fee benefits.
The resort fee is exactly why I compare the final nightly cost, not just the room price that first appears in search results.
Orlando World Center Marriott Is the Resort I’d Pick for Pool Days
The Orlando World Center Marriott makes the most sense to me when the hotel itself is part of the vacation.
This isn’t where I’d stay because I want to walk to EPCOT. I’d stay because I want Disney close by while also having a large resort with a lazy river, multiple waterslides, pools and enough on-site activity that a non-park day doesn’t feel wasted.
The property currently includes scheduled transportation to all four Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs in its resort fee. Marriott requires guests to reserve seats for the scheduled service.
When I’ve stayed here with family, having real resort amenities was the biggest advantage. After several intense park days, spending a morning or afternoon at the hotel actually felt like part of the vacation instead of downtime between Disney visits.
Residence Inn at Flamingo Crossings Makes More Sense for a Longer Stay
If I’m more interested in space, breakfast and practical value than a luxury lobby, I’d look west toward Residence Inn Orlando at Flamingo Crossings Town Center.
It’s a Walt Disney World Gateway Hotel near Disney’s western entrance. Rooms are suites with full kitchens, breakfast is included, and the hotel currently provides complimentary scheduled transportation to select Walt Disney World theme parks.
That’s the kind of setup I like for a longer trip. A kitchen and extra living space become much more valuable once I’m staying five, six or seven nights and don’t want every meal to come from a restaurant.
If extra room matters more than resort amenities, I also compare the other Disney World hotels with suites.
For a Lower-Cost Marriott, I’d Check Fairfield at Marriott Village
Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village is much closer to what I want when I’m spending almost all day in the parks and mainly need a clean, practical hotel.
I don’t expect Swan-level Disney perks or JW-level luxury here. The appeal is simpler: complimentary breakfast, pools and scheduled transportation to Disney destinations while still earning or using Marriott Bonvoy benefits.
I’ve stayed at Fairfield when I wanted to keep the hotel portion of the trip under control, and it worked well because I wasn’t paying for a long list of resort amenities I barely used.
Which Marriott Hotels Near Disney World Have Shuttles?
Quite a few do, but I don’t treat every Disney shuttle as equivalent.
The Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve have the strongest transportation setup in this group because they provide complimentary Disney transportation and are also walkable to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek and Orlando World Center Marriott operate scheduled resort transportation. Residence Inn Flamingo Crossings and Fairfield at Marriott Village also currently offer complimentary scheduled Disney transportation.
The catch with off-site or Gateway Hotel shuttles is the schedule. They may require reservations and don’t necessarily run with the frequency or flexibility of Disney’s own transportation system.

Using Marriott Bonvoy Points at Disney World
This is where Marriott can become particularly interesting for a Disney trip.
I can search award availability at the Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve while still keeping the location and Disney guest benefits that make an on-property stay appealing.
I can also use points at JW Marriott, Orlando World Center and the less expensive Marriott brands around Lake Buena Vista and Flamingo Crossings.
But I don’t judge a redemption only by the points total. I also check resort fees, parking charges and transportation because those can change which hotel is actually the best value.
How I’d Narrow the List Down
If I were booking today, I wouldn’t spend hours comparing every Marriott within 10 miles of Disney World.
For the strongest Disney location: I’d start with Swan, Dolphin or Swan Reserve.
For a luxury resort: I’d look at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek.
For kids who care about the hotel pool almost as much as Disney: Orlando World Center Marriott would move way up my list.
For a longer stay with more room: Residence Inn Flamingo Crossings makes a lot of sense.
For a simpler, lower-cost Bonvoy stay: I’d price Fairfield at Marriott Village against the other Lake Buena Vista options.
That’s a much more useful comparison to me than simply choosing whichever Marriott appears closest on a map. At Disney World, being able to walk to a park, getting useful Disney benefits or having a shuttle schedule that actually fits my day can matter far more than another mile or two on the map.
