Fastest Option: Taxi From Hong Kong Airport to Disneyland
A taxi is usually the simplest airport-to-Disneyland option because it takes you directly from the airport to the resort without train transfers.
The drive is approximately 15 km and can take around 15 to 20 minutes when traffic is moving normally. Leave more time when traffic conditions are less favorable.
Hong Kong has three taxi types:
- Urban taxis: red
- New Territories taxis: green
- Lantau taxis: blue
Hong Kong’s Transport Department states that all three taxi types are allowed to serve Hong Kong International Airport and Hong Kong Disneyland.
Taxis are metered, so there is not one permanently fixed airport-to-Disneyland fare. The final amount depends on the taxi type, distance, waiting time and any applicable luggage charges.

How to Get From Hong Kong Airport to Disneyland by MTR
There is no single direct train from the airport terminal to Disneyland Resort Station, but the route is straightforward.
- Take the Airport Express from Airport Station to Tsing Yi Station.
- At Tsing Yi, transfer to the Tung Chung Line and travel to Sunny Bay Station.
- At Sunny Bay, transfer to the Disneyland Resort Line.
- Ride to Disneyland Resort Station, which serves Hong Kong Disneyland.
The Disneyland Resort Line journey between Sunny Bay and the resort takes about five minutes, and Disney says trains run every few minutes.

Taxi or MTR From Hong Kong Airport to Disneyland?
The better option mostly comes down to luggage, group size and how much you value a direct trip.

By taxi, use the taxi area at the Disneyland Resort Public Transport Interchange. Disney confirms that red, green and blue taxis can provide service to and from the resort.
If you are heading to the airport for a flight, build your schedule around your airline’s recommended airport arrival time rather than assuming the short driving distance means you can leave Disneyland at the last possible moment.
Is Hong Kong Disneyland on the Same Island as the Airport?

You need to account for far more than the 15-to-20-minute drive between the airport and Disney. Depending on your itinerary, that can include:

- Hong Kong immigration requirements
- Checked baggage arrangements
- Transportation in both directions
- Hong Kong Disneyland opening hours
- Your ticket and Park reservation
- Returning through airport security and immigration
- Your airline’s required check-in and boarding deadlines
A long layover can make a visit possible, but the required buffer depends on your flight, passport, baggage and Park hours. I would work backward from your airline’s required airport return time rather than choosing a minimum layover length from a travel article.
Can You Take Luggage to Hong Kong Disneyland?
If Disneyland is your first stop after landing, check the current baggage rules before taking suitcases to the resort. Large travel luggage can make an airport-to-Park visit considerably less convenient than going to your hotel first.

Is There a Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Airport Shuttle?
There is no direct complimentary shuttle from the Hong Kong Disneyland hotels to Hong Kong International Airport.
Disney’s complimentary hotel buses operate within the resort and connect the Disney hotels with the Public Transport Interchange. They should not be confused with an airport transfer service.
