Disney World announced that Winter Summerland Miniature Golf will reopen November 6, just in time for the holiday season.
Disney World putt putt is in full swing (Nerd joke!) now that Winter Summerland is on schedule to reopen just as Fantasia Gardens prepares to temporarily close until January 31. It appears Disney World miniature golf is not so busy that both areas, with four courses overall, need to remain open.
Fantasia Gardens is, in our Nerdy opinion, the best of the Disney World miniature golf courses when all of the elements are working properly. Sadly, this course seems to always have a few broken elements that take away from the “magic” of putt putting on Disney property.

We are not huge fans of its sister course, Fairways Miniature Golf. Although in concept, it’s a fine idea – a miniature golf course set to look like a traditional golf course – the result is an overly complex outing and it misses the fun of Fantasia Gardens.
Bring on the Christmas Fun!
Winter Summerland has two great courses – one themed to winter and one to summer, and both heavy on Christmas and Santa fun.

The Nerdlings are finally getting good enough that they are beating the Nerd – who is both distraught and extremely proud.

Currently, packages booked through Disney World include complimentary miniature golf outings and these courses are a great way to spend some fun, Disney-themed time away from the parks.
