Disney announced that we have to wait until March 2021 to experience a Disney World Water Park…and we’re sad about it!

Disney World Water Park

Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, and Winter Summerland are staples of any Disney World trip. Whether you have been missing the snow-capped hills and the thrill of Summit Plummet or the view of Miss Tilly while white-knuckled aboard the Crush ‘n’ Gusher, you are going to have to wait until March 2021 to experience one of the two again.

The Disney Park Nerds are not surprised its an either/or situation. In the cooler winter months (and shoulder late fall and early spring), Disney World generally has only one water park open due to limited guest attendance. Also, this gives Disney World extensive flexibility to open earlier – a classic “under promise, over-deliver” set-up.

Refunds from the Disney World Water Park Pass, You Say?

Disney World also announced an automatic pro-rated/partial refund for Annual Passholders since APs will only be able to visit one Disney World Water Park…and they will not be able to enjoy either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach until March 7 of next year.
