1. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

After a long awaited wait, the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and its premiere attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, are both now open at Walt Disney World. Be aware though, these are the most in-demand attractions at Disney World. Being able to experience these attractions without it eating up your entire day requires a bit of planning.

2. Disney Memory Maker

So you’ve planned your trip to Disney World. What about capturing the memories with your family? This is where the Disney Memory Maker comes in as one of the most handy Disney World tips. Don’t know what this is, it’s essentially a way to have a Disney photographer take fun photos of you at key locations throughout the park.

3. FREE Drink Refills

Probably the most unknown of the Disney World tips is about getting free drink refills throughout the park. Yes, you heard us nerds right.

Essentially, from all the running around, you’re going to get parched. In the parks you can bring your souvenir cup to drink refill stations inside the Be Our Guest Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom, Sunshine Seasons and Electric Umbrella at Epcot, Restaurantosaurus & Satu’li Canteen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Backlot Express in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Also, if you’re a member of the Disney Dining Plan you are allowed to order a large fountain drink at counter service restaurants. Typically you are automatically given the regular size.

5. Simplify your wait times with Disney MagicBands

If you haven’t been to Disney World in a while, then the whole concept of Disney MagicBands may be new to you. In short, Disney MagicBands are roughly the same size as a watch, and were created by Disney as a way to dramatically improve your experience at Walt Disney World. Essentially, you use your MagicBand to streamline your wait times via FastPasses and manage all other parts of your experiences in the park.

Interestingly, MagicBands are not only mini-fashion statements they’re becoming highly collectable. As you can purchase them in many different patterns, themes, character designs, and patterns.

6. Save Time by Riding the Disney Skyliner

Save a TON of time by taking advantage of the Disney Skyliner. Want to enter the park not a minute after opening? Then leave your hotel room 30 minutes before and jump on the Disney Skyliner.

However, the Disney Skyliner is only accessed easily from certain locations.

7. Save money when you book a Disney World vacation

With most things in life, buying things in a package usually equals money savings. However, this is not the case with Disney World. An essential Disney World tip is to book your hotel and park tickets separately. But always double check. In most cases booking your hotel and park tickets separately will save you money.

8. Set an itinerary

There are a TON of things to do in Disney World.

Literally, you could spend weeks and even months in Disney World and not to do or see the same thing twice. It’s epic. With that in mind, we recommend not showing up to Disney World without a plan of action. That last thing you want is to wait in lines at attractions for 50% of your day.
