Avengers Campus at Disneyland California Adventure is a wow moment after wow moment area of the park.
The Avengers have taken the world by storm over the last 14 years. With each new hero and villain revealed, the masses became fully immersed in this universe. How could you not with the cinematography, costuming, epic battles and let’s be real honest, the very good looking actors & actresses playing the roles.
When Disney bought Marvel in 2009, no one knew just how much the Universe would blow up. Disney realized that they would need to capitalize on it in every way possible. Thus the beginnings of the Avengers Campus at DCA began.
We all know Disney does not skimp when it comes to making you feel like you are in the movie or universe they are portraying. Instead of throwing you into an exotic other world, Avengers Campus plants you in Southern California colleges such as Fullerton or CalTech. Which gives it a special California touch.
The Attractions at Avengers Campus – DCA
In 2017, Disneyland California Adventure swapped out the Tower of Terror for Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout. This marked the first time the Guardians were featured in the Disney Park Universe, and the first attraction of the Avengers Campus. Pretty cool!!
Mechanically this ride is the same as Tower of Terror BUT the exterior and interior have been changed to take you on a wild space ride with Star-Lord, Gamora, Groot, Rocket Racoon and more.
With more 2,200 Galactic Artifacts throughout the attraction, guests can expect to see Dark Elf artificats, Nova Corps Uniforms, Vyloos the little birds from planet Berhert and other momentos from Guardians Vol 1 & 2. It is truly a sight to behold.
The newest and centerpiece attraction added to Avengers Campus is Web Slingers: A Spiderman Adventure, which opened on June 4th, 2021. We have a great article on how to navigate the Web Slingers Virtual Queue here.
Web Slingers is a mix of physical sets and virtual environment. It attacks, in the best way, on every side of your senses. Spider bots go rogue and it is our job to get them under control before the world is taken over. Guests use their body movements to play the game and defeat (or not) the bots. It is a heart pounding, competitive ride for all ages.

The Food at Avengers Campus – DCA
Ant-Man and The Wasp’s size defying fare is located at Pym Test Kitchen. Guests can get American cuisine for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also boast three different kinds of pretzels: Elote topped with corn 3 ways, cilantro sprigs, cotija and flavored crema, this pretzel premiers March 4th, 2022. They have a Quantum Pretzel, you’re standard Bavarian style with sharp cheddar-cheese beer sauce and an Atomic Fusion Pretzel, a buffalo style loaded with chicken, hot sauce, ranch dressing, blue cheese crumbles, celery, and dill-pickled carrots. While these pretzel options sound amazing, I think the Nerds prefer the Mickey Pretzel.
Pym Testing Lab, specialty craft beers and beer cocktails. With an array of alcoholic choices, the Nerds drink of choice is the Honey Buzz, Plymouth Gin with lemon juice, honey syrup and a honey straw. It’s real good, honey. They also offer non-alcoholic options.
The Shawarma Palace is a delight on the tastebuds. They offer both meat and plant-based options.
Don’t miss a special delicacy at Terran Treats. Enjoy a Cosmic Cream Orb or a Sweet Spiral Orb.
