Introduction to Abracadabra Bar Disney, I Mean “AbracadaBar”

In late July 2016, AbracadaBar opened at Disney’s BoardWalk, right next to Flying Fish.

Abracadabra Bar Disney has the feel of a sophisticated speakeasy.

This used to be the spot where illusionists of all kinds went to unwind and compare tricks after their shows ended until one day it disappeared forever.

Up until today, that is!

Located away from all the Walt Disney World hustle and bustle, it now contains magic memorabilia from bygone eras.

It’s all about the cocktails here, and you can expect both magic-inspired drinks and classic favorites.

The bartender here pours a really great drink.

Strong and forward!

Not the typical sweet drinks you would expect from a vacation resort.

There’s also wine and beer, and some Italian-ish bar snacks from the attached Trattoria al Forno.

Apparently, this little lounge was once a hangout for magicians, boardwalk illusionists, and the lovely assistants of magicians during the Golden Age.

Magicians would get together after a show to make new cocktails, swap magic tricks, and stay up all night trying to “out-charm” each other with their magic tricks.

BoardWalk lore says it was on an evening like this that every magician in the lounge vanished into thin air…

Now that it’s reopened as “AbracadaBar,” the secret magician’s lounge has been empty for nearly 70 years.

After you’ve entered, you’ll get a glimpse of some of the 20th century’s most renowned illusionists. It’s rumored that the magicians who used to frequent the lounge have vanished decades ago, but their magic lives on in the lounge’s signature drinks.

AbracadaBar, with its spellbinding show posters and bewitching mirrors, along with vintage props and tricks from years past, promises to live up to its name.

This bar was once the go-to spot for acclaimed magicians, accomplished sleight of hand artists, as well as lovely assistant bartenders. But now it is open to anyone who loves great drinks and a good time.

You’ll also get a taste of another time and place. After a performance, prestidigitators would congregate here, staying up all night performing tricks to out-charm each other before creating new cocktails at the bar.

The secret lounge, on the other hand, vanished as soon as it appeared. Abracadabra Bar Disney has reopened at Disney’s BoardWalk, offering Guests a glimpse into an era long lost through enchanted show posters and perplexing mirrors to vintage props and illusions.

The Abracadabra Bar at Disney World offers some delicious and unique dishes that you won’t find anywhere else.

The popcorn and chickpeas are dusted with curry powder and are a signature dish here. In addition, the bar only offers popcorn as a snack.

If you’re looking for something more substantial to eat, know that the neighboring restaurants close at 10 PM but the bar itself closes at midnight.

Don’t go to the bar hungry.

It’s fun to hang out at AbracadaBar!

The bar features a great selection of cocktails and alcoholic drinks as well as a few tasty appetizers.

You’ll love the theming inside, if you’re into magicians and that golden age of the BoardWalk!

The patio here is great for taking in the views from the BoardWalk while still having a good time doing something.

The bar has plenty of cool nooks and crannies if you manage to snag a seat inside.

It’s all about the drinks here!

There’s a lot to choose from!

You might have a little time before dinner at Swan Resort or just want to get a drink after EPCOT.

Either way, this place is great if you’re into handcrafted cocktails before or after dinner somewhere else.
